The visitor center has some nice exhibits and information. They have water bottle fill stations and map hand out etc. If you’ve never been the park it worth a stop in.
We were looking for an activity to enjoy on a nice day while we were killing time before getting to the airport for a late night flight without going into the city. We randomly found out about this spot and decided to check it out. It was pretty terrific. Although it was small it was very enjoyable. The animals seemed safe and well cared for. The staff and volunteers were incredibly nice and well informed. We spent a bit a couple hours here. It was clear they have tons of activities for kids, so it is probably a great spot for kids. Obviously they break out the big guns at Christmas with their reindeer. Anyway definitely worth a bit of your time.
Obviously you want to go here because of pop culture stuff. Absolute banger of a reason to go here. But there are also so nice hiking trails as well. The parking lot is pretty big and only cost 5 dollars. It is a self pay kiosk. There are plenty of park restrooms. The main viewpoint paths are super easy walks. Some of the other trails are a little tougher. The road to get here off the highway will take you a bit it’s narrow and twisty
The bill is tiny. It is friendly. They have a small selection of really great beers. They seem to have a lot more “art house” events if that’s what you’re looking for. .
If you’re coming down to the fest they seem to host primarily outdoor acoustic events. And don’t worry they still had all your pbr deals.

Popped in on a lark the other day and was very pleasantly surprised. The space is really large, and even if crowded doesn’t feel crowded. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. 1623 brews some really great beers and had a large selection on tap. Some breweries as of late often give food an afterthought. The food here was really great! My only issue is i wish they had more canned beers available.
