When visiting Highfield Hall and Gatden take a walk to see all the gardens and trails through the Beebe woods. Beautiful place to take a nice walk and get outside. Bike are allowed om the trail in the woods. Definitely recommend.
Nobska Light house is so beautiful, and the views are amazing. I went during the week and the parking was very limited. But it's worth a trip to wait for parking. After visiting the lighthouse, venture over to the trail across from the lighthouses on the beach side. Amazing views and great spot to take pictures. The day I visited, there was a gentleman painting the Lighthouse. Definitely recommend visiting this Lighthouse.
If you are on Roosevelt Island, I would definitely recommend a nice walk along the river to the end of the island to get some absolutely beautiful photos of the landscape. I wish I had more time to explore and relax in the park and watch the boats go by. It was a cold, snowy morning when I took a walk down to the park. It was absolutely breathtaking. There is so much to look at from all sides of the island. I would love to come back during the warmer months and take advantage of all the sitting areas and just take in all the beautiful views. There is an old hospital within the park with lots of interesting history, take a moment to read about it. It is very interesting and one of the reasons I wanted to explore this park. I love history and reading the stories and learning about the architecture of the buildings. It is pretty fascinating. I will definitely be back when I can spend more time exploring and relaxing while taking in all the gorgeous views.
Absolutely beautiful, this was the second time visiting, 1st time was the weekend before Christmas, and it was really busy . I could barely see the tree, and there were a lot of people. This time we went the weekend after New years and it was perfect. Saw the tree from every direction. Even from the shops below. Definitely recommend going after the holidays if possible. It was beautiful. Still quite a few people but not overly crowded.
Beautiful garden on the campus of Princeton. I am sure during the spring and summer the gardens are gorgeous. We went 1 week before Christmas. Cold weather and no flowers blooming. I will definitely have to come back to explore the gardens during the spring
