A small place hidden away in marine drive, but if you look for the talk sign you can't miss it.
There is parking for a few vehicles by the road.
Outdoor and indoor seating spaces are available with a nice vibe to just get some work done or to have a conversation with friends.
The staff were friendly and very attentive. I ended up spending around 4 hours chatting up with a friend while looking at the ocean through a window.

A group of 8 decided to have lunch here. The 'Varandah' is located inside the Galle Face Hotel. If you ask any of the staff they will help you get to the restaurant.
You don't get a big menu but all the essential food categories are covered here. The food was good and the price wasn't bad given it's in a 5 star hotel. But It would have been great if they could have served the food a little earlier as we had to wait a long time.
The staff was friendly and the view of the see is nice as well.

The place is compact and has spacing limited customers. But it was not uncomfortable or anything. Parking could be a hassle as they have dedicated parking only for 3-4 vehicles and everyone else has to park by the road.
Food looked nice and tasted ok for the most part. okinomoyaki was ok, but I didn't like the ramen as it didn't look or taste anything like an authentic ramen. The rice in katsudon and chicken katsu rice wasn't that sticky and it was difficult to eat with chopsticks. Everything else was good. The staff was friendly and responsive. The price wasn't bad either.

A very convenient place to have food or snacks. Parking available behind the royal mall. They have provided easy access to the coffee shop via elevator and stairs.
All types of snacks and drinks available. Food was ok, but nothing special about it. Common washroom facilities from the mall is available.

Nice mall. It wasn't very crowded since I visited on a weekday, I guess. Lots of shops and restaurants. Even has kids play areas also.
