Had an absolutely wonderful experience!! My fiancé loves trains so I saw this experience on tiktok and thought this might be a great valentine’s day present and my goodness what’s I right!! This was a whole beautiful experience from the second you park your car! We were in the silver sword car and the waiters were fantastic. Brett was so fun as well he came up to our table and had us all laughing multiple times and answered all our questions, he was a joy. The food was fantastic, the sights especially when you get closer to the river was beautiful, the entertainment was phenomenal, overall we had such a wonderful experience. (And did I mention you get to toot the horn on the train??) We would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting to try something new and fun!! 😊
Had the absolute BEST experience with Marty. If this review were only about Marty and how he helped my sisters and I, this would be a solid 5 star review!!
However sadly, while Marty was absolutely fantastic, helpful, and patient with us, we had a few issues along the way involving the company.
We had a reservation for awhile now to pick up a rental car in LA for 5 days, when I woke up the day we were supposed to drive to LA and pick up that rental car, I got a call from Hertz saying that the reservation was cancelled and there were no more cars available. I am super patient and understanding with things like this, however there was no way for anyone to help us find another car to rent within the hertz system. We called many times, we talked to different people, one even had us going to another Hertz location because he said there was a car there we could rent, but when we got there, there were no cars. The lady working there (who was very kind and helpful) explained that the people who are on the line when we call are not informed when their locations are out of stock or not.
Because of Marty's help, we rented a car from San Diego to LA, but because of this mess, we went with a different company for our transportation around LA because at the end of the day that was the only option that guaranteed us a car. My sisters and I will not be using hertz in the future, but Marty was absolutely fantastic, and extremely helpful. Very grateful for his help during such a crazy day.
