I would definitely recommend visiting the Tatte Bakery, I wish I could rate it 5 stars but 4 seems right, here is why:
1. First, what’s working well:
the atmosphere is airy and the kind of place I love having a coffee or breakfast in. Also, there is a large selection of baked goods along with gluten free options. The staff does a good job of getting people what the need given this place is busy!! Also, the food is really good, I was happy with everything we tried so overall this is what I think you would enjoy.
2. What could be improved:
This place is packed! Clearly it’s an extremely popular place so that was to be expected, but it’s a bit of a free for all and that’s really hard if someone has a mobility issue, or if a family has small children. Finding a table takes a bit of effort and it would be nice if there was a better system to seat people vs having complete open seating. Also, there is not a lot of clarity on where to get supplies. I asked where to get water, utensils, and napkins and was told where to go. Unfortunately when I arrived there were no utensils at both stations. Another issue is it was not clear about how to leave tables. The table we eventually grabbed staff cleaned it up. We saw other instances like this when we were sitting. So given this was our first time we thought staff cleaned the tables. Thinking this I left a 20 dollar tip and our family rushed out because our daughter had a blowout. As we were walking out the door I noticed bus trays under the station with utensils but was still unclear if we use them or not. Some more instructions here would be really helpful. I think that would eliminate confusion.
Overall 4/5 stars due to the confusion. I get it’s busy though and I would definitely go back. I feel the 4 stars are pretty accurate that Google reflects. Feel free to check out my photos to get a sense of the space!

I had a fantastic morning coffee at Heartwork Coffee this morning, this is why you will love it too:
1. The coffee is delicious. I really enjoyed everything about it. From flavor to the temperature. They know what they are doing here.
2. Fast service! We got out coffee extremely fast, once again San Diego knows how to make a great cup of coffee quickly.
3. Super friendly staff. My interaction with everyone here was fantastic and enjoyable. The staff seems to care here.
4. Danny DeVito.
Overall, I would give this place a try if you have never been here before. Check out my photos to get a sense of the space.

Boston Bean House is a must stop if you are in downtown Maynard. Here is why:
1. This place is big! There is plenty of room for seating and a beautiful outdoor space. The shop is quaint and an easy place to enjoy a morning coffee or read a book.
2. Staff is friendly and helpful! Always a great experience when I get anything and they are fast!
3. Food is good! There is also gluten free options too. They offer breakfast sandwiches, bagels, and an array of pastries.
All in all, well worth the stop either on your morning commute or weekend downtime. Check it out and feel free to look at my photos in this review to get a sense of the space.

If you are thinking about visiting the Charles River Esplanade and you are reading this, GO!
Here’s why:
1. This is the perfect place for a first date, or a 100th date. I saw people sitting on benches holding each other and others having picturesque picnics. (Seriously with the basket and blanket and everything). Other activities include running, taking work calls, reading books, kids playing in the playground, and relaxing by the water. (Look at my photos to see what I’m talking about).
2. If you are on a leisurely walk it’s extremely relaxing. Something about walking along the water and watching life happen in so many different directions is humbling. This part of the city separates you from the city and you feel as though you are a 3rd person observer to it all. It forces you to slow down and be present. The docks and benches invite you to stop and watch a sailboat or the patterns in the water.
3. There are multiple access points to get onto the trail. I recommend parking close to one of the many bridge and walking to an access point. You can easily find them on google maps. I can add a marked up screenshot in my review.
4. It’s worth going. If you are thinking about it this is your sign. Just do it.

Wow is what I would say if I could describe Juniper in one word. This restaurant is absolutely incredible, read on to see and learn why:
1. I love that the restaurant does not take reservations. If you want to eat here you have to commit to being flexible with your time. The chance of getting a table or seat at the bar is likely due to the fact there is not a list before a list. We walked into a busy restaurant and immediately got two seats at the bar. We put our names down and 20 minutes later we were at a table.
2. The service is fantastic. From the bar staff to the staff that took care of us at our table, they were knowledgeable, kind, and did not rush us at all through the process of eating there.
3. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to allergies. If you have food allergies this is a fantastic place to go.
4. The food is delicious. I’m one of those people who does not usually eat leftovers. The next day I ate what I took home. Everything was amazing and I can’t wait to come back to try more menu items.
Overall, well worth the time investment to come out and see what happens. You will most likely get a table and the whole experience is worth it. Check out my photos for examples of the space and food.
