Deplorable service and food. My husband planned this for our friends who were visiting from Australia and myself since i had never visited before. We specifically chose to have our lunch here because we wanted the full experience of Grouse Mountain which included enjoying what was supposed to be an amazing Canadian meal. We were seated quickly even though we wanted a view table we were told none were available at the time. we understood. Our waitress who was from the UK took at least 20 min from when we sat down to come by and introduce herself. We got our drinks and then she was gone for the next 25 min. Finally we were offered more water and we asked to please have our waitress come to take our order. Another 10 min went by. She finally showed up but forgot to bring her pen to take our order so she had to go back and get it. Now this is not an exaggeration. What kept me from being rude was that we were entertaining our dear friends and the last thing i wanted was to be a "Karen" but your waitress was horrible. When our food finally came out we thought that the wait would be worth it, but it truly was not. This was the worst cheeseburger ive had here in Canada. How do you make a cheese burger taste weird? and our friend order the Poutine (firt time trying it and we suggested it to him) the gravy was runny and it had no color. All the gravy was at the bottom of the bowl. So he it is safe to say he won't be raving about the Poutine like we wanted him to. We also order nachos which had asome cheese on top of the nachos but underneat there was nothing but broken down chips extremely salty. The only good thing that i can say i had was the ginger ale.
Go in low and you may be pleasantly surprised.
But luckily Grinder and Coola made up for it!
