Should be a 4.5. I had fish and chips. OMG it was good. Light fish in a light crispy batter - no lingering heavy feeling with this meal.
Service is friendly and on par with what you would expect of a classic, low-key pub. It was quiet on the night I visited, but that suited my mood. Loved the 80's mix and Billy Idol was perfect.
Guinness on tap - classic pairing for fish and chips. Lots of good spirits at the bar - indulge!

A good place for a dessert when near Times Square. Order inside, pre-order, or order at the outside kiosk. Friendly service, good selection. The bombolone are good, I had the strawberry. Comparatively, lighter in texture than a jelly donut, generous filling. The lemon mousse is a delight to eat. Perched on a sable style cookie, the lemon mousse is encased in lemon white chocolate, with a tart lemon jelly. The lemon is balanced well with the cookie base and chocolate shell. Fun to eat!
A perfect pub experience.
Once you walk through the doors, I realized I found something rare - an authentic NYC pub, unblemished and perfect.
I had the Bison Burger, no cheese and all the other toppings with onion rings and a Guinness Stout. Maybe not the most adventurous, but it was the best burger I have had in New York, and the best onion rings I ever had ( I ordered an extra side!).
Friendly, polite in the manner that exemplifies New York. A must visit - it is a hidden treasure!

Must visit coffee shop. The service is exactly what I have come to expect in NYC - friendly, polite, informative, but not sugary. On recommendation, I tried the Round Hill Guatemala espresso (americano, hot)- it did not disappoint. Pairs beautifully with summer fruit - I had the recommended blueberry muffin. The coffee had the brightness expected of a Latin American coffee, fruit/berry notes, and subtle cocoa hints with a refreshing finish. Clean, crisp, and perfect for a NYC humid summer day. The blueberry muffin sits between a classic muffin and cake with a moist crumb. The balanced sweetness highlights the blueberries and brings out the fruitiness of the espresso.
A contemporary coffee shop with a nod to 90's coffee shop culture. Described as trendy. Enjoyed my coffee while reading on a comfortable leather sofa that is tucked into a corner. It was nice.
Espresso was light bodied with a clean finish that produced a good, light Americano. I did not have a pastry on this visit; would recommend something fruity (citrus or berry) or floral in profile to pair.
I did change my rating from a 5 to a 3. This is a good coffee shop; I am just a bit more critical now.
