I must say I was ALWAYS concerned with small independently owned facilities because there is always the feeling that the bigger facilities may have better protocols in place to help its patients/ residents.
Well after being in the hospital system too long I came to Silver lake with my legs being an absolute MESS…. Well I owe Silver Lake a great deal of thanks for reversing what surely would have led to me losing both of my legs !!! How much can you owe/thank a facility that saves your legs? Well I can’t sleep at night without showing my appreciation to Brian the 4th floor night nurse or Anthony the gentle giant from the 1st floor or Jeanie the evening nurse that would be tasked with silencing us long enough to get to bed lol…… I also owe a great deal of thanks to Ms Tina Torricelli that put up with my anxiety driven outbursts. God bless you all and if Silver Lake can take care of ME they can take care of ANYBODY…… Siva Kumar wasn’t my nurse but is an incredible human being …… Adrianna Thompson, Amanda McGuinnes , Jenie Mirable that is the fiestiest sweet woman on the planet and a special thanks to Nasat Awad - the Saturday supervisor that ALWAYS FIXES EVERYTHING….. and of course Michelle that always managed to keep me fed….. Romeo in the kitchen that was a great guy that took pride in the food he cooked for everyone.
*** Silver Lake has quite possibly the VERY BEST Rehabilitation facility of ANY facility in NY and blows away Northwell’s flagship facility at Glen Cove despite the Ego Maniac directors attitude. There is nothing worse than someone compromising a persons progress due to their inability to look past their tyrannical personality.
