This delightful picnic and barbecue area overlooks the beach and catches the breezes. Views extend towards the port at Fisherman's Islands and across Moreton Bay to Tangalooma on Moreton Island. There are several scattered picnic tables of which only one is under shelter. There are two barbecues near the sheltered picnic table. Taps (including a doggy drinking bucket) are on hand, but it's a walk down to the bathing pavilion for toilets.
A patch of open space between houses and Albany Creek, this park basically is a thoroughfare between local streets and parks. Plenty of water dragons sun themselves in the park. The creek itself is full of litter-trapping bulrushes near the road bridge, along side water lillies, then becomes more attractive and clean where trees shade the channel.
Just about hidden from the road is a lovely shaded playground with seats and a picnic table. It looks like a good place to bring kids of all ages on a summer's day. Only street parking is available if you're not in walking distance. Access the playground from the bridge over Albany Creek near the poinciana tree roundabout. A basketball half court is situated towards the Old Northern Road end of the park.
