Brekky at Health Freak! Daughter had pash n shoot blended fruit juice which she said very strongly tasted of passionfruit and that's all. Son had strawberry milkshake which he liked and I had iced coffee with canned whipped cream which was nice. They both had potato hash stack with bacon, avo with hollandaise sauce and poached egg which they both said was cooked well and they both enjoyed. I had smashed avo with beetroot hummus dip, bacon ($6 extra), fetta on toast. Was nice except not enough fetta and beetroot dip was very bland. Service was quick, atmosphere was nice with decent size tables but being plus size the chairs were not that accommodating. I fit but not overly comfortable. Overall though would go back again to try some of the other food.
First time at this trending Cafe in Duncraig. Friday brunch was very busy but only a short wait to be seated. Seated at first table near door which was OK with a warm breeze on a very hot day. Cafe is smaller than I thought it would be but has a good atmosphere with lots of chatter going on although if you don't like it noisy this may not be the right place for you. Service was quick especially considering how many people there were. Some nice and different choices for food. Mixture of bench and chair seats inside and outside. I had an iced latte which was nice and strong but alas I forgot to add ice cream for an extra $1.50 and not sure if you can add whipped cream as I didn't see an option. I had the bubble and squeak with chorizo and bacon and poached egg which was a big serve and quite nice and not too spicy. Daughter had avocado toast which she enjoyed. Small shopping centre across the way and a car park which was very busy on a Friday mid morning. Pet friendly with doggies treats too!
Had breakfast with my adult kids before plant shopping at Waldecks. 2 had eggs benedict one with ham one had bacon which they said was fine with eggs poached nicely. One had smashed avocado with haloumi etc which he enjoyed and I had the big breakfast which was fine but I wish they would have half sized serves. Special shout out to whoever cooked the tomato as often it comes out hard and hardly cooked and the hash brown was nice. Tables were roomy and not too cramped together which we appreciated as we had a pram with us. It was quite busy on a Saturday morning but we didn't have too long a wait.
Daughter had chicken panini with cheese, tomato, spinach, basil, pesto, mustard,Mayo, herbs and garlic in a ciabatta bread roll. She enjoyed it but was not anything special she thought. I had steak and cheese sandwich and chips which had steak, cheese, mushrooms, fried onions, rocket,Mayo,Chipotle bbq sauce, tomato on sourdough toast. Tasted fine except ketchup tasted a bit strange and chips were just okay.
Went around lunchtime on a Sunday but there were still plenty of tables and seats. I had bacon and egg bagel. Egg was nicely cooked but bacon had no taste at all and bagel was quite dry. Daughter had chicken baguette which she said was nice but the baguette was dry. She also had an iced chocolate which was very very sweet and not nice at all and came in a paper cup which you usually get for a hot drink. Other daughter had a chicken and herb sausage roll which she didn't like as again it was dry. Son in law had a toasted Reuben sandwich which was just ok he said with not much filling. He had an iced latte which I also had which was nothing special. Beware of like my daughter you are scared of birds as there were quite a few coming into the cafe and landing on unoccupied tables to eat the scraps although there was a young man there who was doing a good job of dispersing them.
