They have diapers and food, they are accommodating and helpful and have a diverse staff. They also have a clothing program I have not explored yet, but the atmosphere here gives me a positive outlook and i look forward to checking it out.
Some of their services are only for ward 6/7, but there are diapers, food and clothing that are accessible by any DC resident. For diapers, proof of DOB is required.
They answered the phone in a timely manner every time I called, which is very respectable.
Only complaint is that they run out of diapers, so call ahead maybe before you go. It takes me almost an hour and a half to get there, so it was kind of upsetting. But their food program is better than the other location on 7th street.

Park has been cleared out, and cleaned up, grass is green and the whole park is unrecognizable! It just recently opened back up.
Some highly trafficked bus lines meet here, and there is also a metro station on this corner, so it is always busy with commuters.
Pretty sure this was the number I called about 4 years ago concerning some payments I had owed/overpaid to the IRS.

Their only phone may be a rotary in the corner of the basement floor past the maintenance closet, but once I had someone on the phone they told me everything that I needed to know, and reassured me that I would not be penalized for being late IF I had not been paid in full/overpaid. When I told them their mail was extremely slow getting to me (It was at least a month and a half behind all the bills I was getting ahead on so nicely), they told me that if I though I had overpaid, not to send any more payments until I had received my receipts of each payment, and check or credit toward my next refund in the mail. I was very relieved to know that no matter how slow they were, they didn't want me to jump ahead of them, and they were much more willing to work with me, or treat me as "the customer is always right" rules if my payments owed to them were late. I eventually got the change credited to the next years taxes I was filing (that's how long it took them to process my payments, which were completed in August).
The person I spoke to was reasonable, and did a great job (I can be kinda feisty on the phone when it comes to bills/paperwork, but had to stay cool when she told me that they were just slow, and basically, to be patient, and no ill will would befall me)

Thank you, IRS.
Best one I've been to. Come here and talk to someone who cares and does their job efficiently.
