What was once a luxurious mall back in the 1980s is now nothing but a ghost town. The whole place feels almost dead now.
There are only a few shops plus a restaurant left on the ground floor. The first floor only has iBox and a bank, while the second floor is almost completely empty. Only the third floor still contains computer and electronic shops. Lotte supermarket has left the building since 2020, and very recently its long time tenant KFC has also left since the end of July 2023. This place has definitely seen better days and gets even sad every day.
One more thing, be very careful in here as apparently they don't like people taking photos around. Someone was detained by the security here for taking videos and the incident went viral after he shared his experience on TikTok. Best to avoid this place if you don't want to get into trouble with the security. Very mysterious place and management, as if they're hiding something.

A nice museum that sits right in the heart of Jakarta's Old Town (Kota Tua) district. The building where the museum occupies now was formerly the office of the Nederlandsche Handel-Maatschappij (Netherlands Trading Society) which was completed in the early 1930s, and has been turned into a museum since 1998.
Great place to learn about the country's banking history from the colonial times as well as the history of Bank Mandiri itself. Many old collectibles can be seen here, from old banknotes, retro ATM machines and other vintage banking related items. Also a perfect place for photos, and there's a small cafe inside. Unfortunately certain areas were closed and off-limits when we went there. Ticket price is only Rp 5000.
The museum is accessible by TransJakarta Koridor I with Kota bus shelter within walking distance. In the future, it will be served by the MRT Jakarta going from Lebak Bulus Grab.

Simple looking port. Free wifi only for 10 minutes and longer costs money. Better head to Upper Barrakkka Gardens instead.
An old shopping center from 1983, and a well known place for golds and jewelries. This place has definitely seen better days; it is now a run down creepy looking place, let alone with its retro 1980s ambience. Only the ground and first floors are usually crowded thanks to the number of jewelry and gold shops, while the rest are like a ghost town. Those floors used to have department store and a supermarket which have long gone. The top floor now houses a mosque.
