London Bridge
2023 May 06
Oh London Bridge! How grand thou art,
A symbol of London, forever a part.
From ancient times, thou hast stood,
Through wars and fires, still thou withstood.

The Thames below, doth flow and flow,
As people cross, to and fro.
Oh what a sight to see,
This bridge, so strong and sturdy.

Thou art a marvel, a wonder to behold,
A structure of beauty, forever told.
Thy arches, thy towers, stand so tall,
A true testament to the skill of all.

Oh London Bridge, how great thou art,
Thou hast stood the test of time, never to depart.
For generations to come, thy glory will shine,
And forever more, thou shalt remain divine.

In days of yore, when knights were bold,
And tales of adventure were told,
There stood a bridge, so strong and grand,
The Medieval Exe Bridge, in the land.

It spanned the river, wide and deep,
And its arches, high and steep,
Were a marvel of engineering might,
And a testament to man's foresight.

From merchants to travelers, all did cross,
And on the bridge, life was never a loss.
For it was a place of bustling trade,
Where fortunes were made, and debts were paid.

Through wars and storms, the bridge did stand,
A symbol of strength, in the land.
And as time marched on, it stood the test,
A testament to man's ingenuity and zest.

Today, though time has taken its toll,
The bridge still stands, a sight to behold.
A piece of history, for all to see,
A reminder of what once used to be.

So let us honor the Medieval Exe Bridge,
And the people who built it, with courage and grit.
For it is a part of our heritage and past,
And a tribute to our human legacy, that lasts.
