This is a quiet Seaside Park, there's a few benches, not much shade and a nice little footpath to walk on. Nice place to sit and watch the windsurfers on weekends.
I've visited many times but it's been a few years since my last visit (2019). Everything is just as I remember it with a few little improvements here and there~
Disney Hotel guests have early entry by about 15 minutes and also there's an entirely separate queue just for them which was totally empty when my group went in (about 8:45am). I suspect that guests of the Miracosta Hotel may get an even earlier time than 8:15 because it's located within the park itself. You'd get a beautiful view of the parades and fireworks at night I'm sure.
For example, the fast pass/priority pass system had greatly changed. You can now access this on your mobile phone via an app that makes it MUCH easier to get a spot on your favourite ride. Your ticket must be activated by scanning it at the park entrance gates before you can begin to book rides or restaurants, so you should get there early as possible (talking like 7-8am, no joke) if securing an early ride is your goal.
Some rides now cost 2000yen per person to secure a priority pass which is understandable for perhaps a roller-coaster or Toy Story Mania, but I didn't feel like Soarin' Fantastic Flight should have been priced that high (because it's the type of ride in which your chair is moved around gently while you watch a curved movie screen). It's a fine cost if you're buying it for just yourself, but as a family of 4, it was a shock to the wallet!
Photos on the Indiana Jones ride were broken/not available the day we went (30.10.2023) which was a little disappointing. Not many rides have photo options at Disney Sea and this one is my favourite. When it is working, position your party in the front seat of the car for the best pictures.
