Quite simply our children’s favorite place in DC, Cheverly is everything a family could hope for. Great pool, fun, slides, extremely friendly staff, tasty snacks, the list goes on… And that is before you consider the other things, like an amazing swim team organized by Coach Ann, a volleyball court, as well as a racquetball court and tennis courts. Simply the best!
Nice little medium, unfortunately it’s too little to be great.
We love a little bit of nostalgia tourism, and really enjoyed this museum. However, the whole exhibit is only five small rooms, so while they pack a lot of items into the space it’s really a matter of 10 to 20 minutes before you’ve seen everything there is. Little bit of a cleaning for the exhibit, as well as pumping up the tires in the car and a bike, would go along way into making it nicer as well.

This beach is great in many ways – the rocks are reasonly small and gentle on your feet, the water is warm because the beach is located in a bit of an alcove, the waves are small so it’s great for little kids. On the downside, the beach fills up pretty early in the day, and can be very crowded throughout the day.
Love this playground, one of the best ones around! Climbing the whale and the curved climbing wall are particular favorites, as are the swings (so rare these days)
