One of the best places to visit if you taking interest in this kind of thing.

Ticket: Free (If you just alone or with small group). I mean the security said that if you have no event (like school trip) it is free. Otherwise it is Rp: 5K for local and Rp: 10K for foreigner

There is small toilets in the south east corner of the area.

Recommend to visit this temple around 6 PM so you will catch its vibe and the weather not so hot to visit.

Short Story

Gebang (Indonesian: Candi Gebang) is an 8th-century Hindu temple located on the outskirts of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The temple is located at Gebang hamlet, Wedomartani village, Ngemplak, Sleman, Yogyakarta. The temple was built during the Medang Kingdom.

There is no assuring historical backgrounds or inscription records concerning the temple. However the high proportional of the temple feet indicate that the temple was built in old period of Medang Mataram kingdom, c. 730 to 800.
