Woke up early to visit La Maison and the experience was satisfying. We ordered a croissant, pain au chocolat and almond croissant. We enjoyed the pain au chocolat the most and the croissant was nice but the almond croissant was a little dry (maybe a little over baked too) and not creamy enough. I also found the pastries not buttery enough for my liking, however this all comes down to personal preference. Coffee was delicious.
Unfortunately for me, the food was not representative of what you would get in Korea. The flavors are definitely toned down to suit everyone’s taste. We ordered Kimchi Jjigae, Yukgaejang and Mandu (meat filling). The Kimchi Jjigae with pork was correct but I expected the dish to be more flavorful. The Yukgaejang was definitely a miss as it was lacking in the spice department. However, the portions were more than decent and the meat in both dishes was well-cooked. The dumplings were good but were not special to me. We did not have to wait for too long and the staff was patient with us. Prices are affordable.
I had to justify the fact that I needed a straw to drink my beverage, unbelievable… Don’t know what happened but 2/3 of my Venti drink was ice.
I was really excited to try this place after hearing good word about it. However, I was disappointed. The broth was tasty but I was not a fan of the yellow curly ramen noodles used. So if you are like me and enjoy the Japanese thin straight noodles, I would not recommend this place. We also ordered gyoza which were decent.
Best Japanese dining experience I have ever had in Germany! Osaka offers a variety of dishes that are equally delicious and flavorful. The fish is fresh and tender. I particularly enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly staff. Service is impeccable.
