Nice causal bar atmosphere without the typical bar food. They were out of several appetizers we were interested in. Scratch made kitchen and their popularity was the reason given. We took our second choice the deep fried deviled eggs, Rascals take on a Scotch Egg. Next the Meatloaf Sandwich my wife had. Good meatloaf and the sauce gets special mention. The sourdough bread was a good choice but it was cut too thick. We liked the potato salad, it was saucy but maybe from sour cream.Nice chunky pieces of potato. My sandwich was their take on a Cuban. The pulled pork, ham, melted cheese and homemade pickles were great! The menu also listed sauerkraut which was on there but I suggest leaving it off. The pickles were so good and sour-kraut was too much competition. Plus technically its not a Cuban with kraut. My mac & cheese was okay, spiral macaroni and maybe Worcestershire in the cheese sauce. It was my first mac and cheese in months. I was expecting cheesy, bubbly mac and cheese with a crusty top. So I was visually disappointed and for me the dish couldn’t over come that. We decided we would return. Service was attentative and friendly. It looked like everyone there was have a good time. We decide we enjoyed everything enough to comeback.
