The most famous and oldest Ghat on Lake Pichola. Ambrai Ghat is a picturesque spot in Udaipur, India, offering breathtaking views of Lake Pichola and the City Palace. The serene ambiance and the iconic backdrop make it a perfect place to unwind and take in the beauty of the city. It's a popular spot for both locals and tourists, especially during sunset when the ghat and the lake are bathed in golden hues. There's entry fee of Rs 10 per person and it closes at 10pm at night. You can easily spend 2 hrs here soaking in the beauty and grandeur of the City Palace, The Lake Pichola and Taj Lake Palace. Ample scope for photography. Whether you're looking for a tranquil stroll or a spot to capture stunning photographs, Ambrai Ghat won't disappoint. A must visit place in Udaipur specially during sunset and after sunset when the lights of city palace are turned on it looks magical.
Located inside the city palace complex. To access this you need to take 30Rs ticket. This is the boat boarding point for Jag Mandir Palace which is in between the lake pichola. The view from this place is absolutely amazing and one of the best views in Udaipur. You can see the stunning Jag Mandir, Taj Lake Palace from here. You also get a great view of the Grand City Palace along with the lake pichola. It looks soo stunning and unreal. Dreamy view with palace as grand as it can get along the bank of lake. Definitely a must visit spot inside the city palace complex. The rate for boating is 500Rs per person till 5pm and after 5pm its 800Rs per person. The rates are high but it has access to the Jag Mandir Palace where you can spend time and enjoy the royalty. If you don't want to do boating just come here during the sunset and enjoy magical and peaceful sunset from here .
The best moong dal ki Kachori in Udaipur. Paliwal ji ki Kachori is legendary. Located near Jagadish Temple in old Udaipur this small place is buzzing with locals from early morning. They serve only two items Samosa n Kachori, Kachori being the highest seller and they have tea and hot milk also. The Kachori is served piping hot with two kinds of chutney. The Kachori itself is so delicious and the addition of chutneys make it amazing. The crunchyness and flakiness of Kachori is perfect and it's deep fried to perfection by Paliwal ji. The owner is humble and very friendly. There's no place as such to sit so you enjoy eating it standing where they make fresh hot Kachoris.
Went there early morning around 7 directly from the railway and there were quite a few people already relishing the Kachori. Highly recommended to try it when in Udaipur. One of the best Kachori i ever had.
