I don't know if Compton is as bad as it's reputation suggests but I didn't hang around too long to find out. The park itself is a little dated but it has enough of the basics to keep everyone happy. Hip, euro gap, ledges and rails. The bowl looked good also.

As a random English suburban village bloke on a mission to skate 1000 skateparks, to say I've skated Compton skatepark is fantastic in my opinion.

The city actually pay a guy to sit at the skatepark in a deck chair to tell everyone to wear a helmet. Guy was so rude also.

I'm not even dignifying this skatepark with a review. No wonder it was empty.

An old fashioned, outdated skatepark built before the days of actual skatepark designers and builders.

A couple of flat ledges and rails here and a mini ramp that were half decent. The rest of it isn't great.

Nice big park with some unique features. The big long brick textured bank is fun, as is the jersey hubba. Plenty of transition for beginners and shredders alike.

A decent size with some fun features. A little crusty round the edges though.

That weird mega funbox combo in the middle is truly one of a kind.
