This play area is so bountiful of entertaining physical indícala for kids of all ages you will find yourself looking for the price of admission! It’s dangerously time consuming because you kids will continually find new areas and nooks and crannies to play in. Tucked away you feel miles away from a packed city. The walk in and out seems to be designed to transport you with every step to an area that seems magically placed in a city of mostly cement and iron. If the sun is out and you have kids this is a definitely place to stop on your journey in Chicago.
Great playground right off the beach. Close enough to the bars to keep the parents entertained by their children’s game of freeze tag. I almost removed 1 star for the absence of enough benches for the adults to sit in but could not bring myself to do so after watching my daughter play here for well over an hr. Modern playground facilities in a tranquil setting lends this area to a wonderful play time break from playing at the beach. From here we plan to walk to a Colombian bakery as a treat for a day well played!
There is also a couple of volleyball courts adjacent to keep you entertained while your kids decide who is the lava monster for the 50th time

Who doesn't like stuff wrapped in dough and deep fried? Psychopaths that's who. This larger than other empanadas prove that size does matter... tasty fillings in a deep fried crust hit the spot on a crisp fall day. If you are fan of flavor then these are for you!
This seemingly family affair has an efficient but very friendly feel. I only tried one flavor, and it was delicious, but the corn crust is the star of the show. Crispy and moist with a strong corn flavor. It transported me from a parking lot in Atlanta to a Colombian night market. I would recommend these after a few drinks, before you have a few drinks, during and just because you are hungry!

Finally someone realized that the benches in any playground should be in perpetual shade! While my child enjoys playing like an endurance athlete training for an ultra marathon my enjoyment of a playground is relegated to the shade.
This playground is accessible to most of midtown and the surrounding areas by foot driving with ample street parking is also a good option. On a quiet street in a quaint neighborhood makes this playground too notch. There is also a small grain trail behind the park in case the 72 slide runs do’s not sufficiently tucker you tot out. The park is almost completely empty around the common lunch hrs but picks up again around 430-5pm and has some kids playing before noon. Overall this is not exactly a destination park but it’s close and does serve the area very well

We walked down to the Chattanooga Riverfront on a sunny but cool day in May. About half the playground is shaded giving the parents a cooler vantage point to keep an eye on the little ones while they burn up some energy. The park designers designed this park for 5-12 year old but my 3 1/2 year old had lots of fun running up and down most of the obstacles without a problem. The rest of the Prato has an abundance of sitting areas to enjoy the views of the Tennessee River and the bridges that connect north and south Chattanooga. Lots of restaurants and small shops make this a great picnic option.
