DuBois Park

This park was beautiful. I had heard about it for a long time and finally got around to visiting it. It was perfect for the kids. It's a lagoon so it is protected and shallow. The water is clear and pristine. We were all very impressed by this place. Has multiple bathrooms throughout the park and showers. There are tables and BBQs scattered throughout the park as well.
This trail is awesome. It starts out pretty calm and is gravelly. There are a ton of side trails to go off on if you want to explore a little. The water is very clean and very cold. After about a mile on the trail you will see it get a little less friendly. Roots and rocks start to get in the way. It's not difficult but might be tough for people who are just trying to take it easy. When we went we saw two bear cubs throwing crab apples ( or whatever fruit was on the tree) at passerbys. Thankfully we didn't see the mom. There are a couple of bridges that only have one rail so you can fall if you aren't being careful. I highly recommend this trail.
