Origami Kaikan

A must visit if you like origami. The exhibition are pretty limited, but it’s free. They also have an extensive shop upstairs where you can buy various books, washi and origami paper, cd recording, and if you’re lucky you’re gonna get to meet the origami master himself providing free lessons.
Free parking - on summer days, they often holds free music festivals at the park too. There’s a cool water tower that you can climb up too, nearby. Love the black donut although it makes you think of something else. Plenty of seating to relax and enjoy the nature.
The only imax in Washington state. Large screen thunderous sound system, nice seatings. There’s no assigned seating - aka first come first served. So come early if you want to get the best view. The area around the theater is also nice to check out.
Admission is free on first Thursday of the month. Small but nice museum displaying the history of Nordic community in Seattle. It starts with general history of nordic countries, and some random items about everything nordic. Ballard lock is nearby which is fitting with nordic themes of boats and ships.

It’s pretty from the outside, but it’s quite underwhelming. This isn’t a tourist attraction - so don’t expect anything much to see. There isn’t even enough seating areas. Outside there are some nice sculptures from famous artists. Inside it’s just various administrative offices and clubs.
