Nice hotel. Perched atop a high point in Belgrade. It’s about 100 years old and still has the charm of yesteryear. The restaurant was very nice with attentive waiters. Staff are good. Unfortunately, it wasn’t possible to get a taxi and incredibly there’s no Uber in Belgrade so getting around can be extremely difficult.
We had dinner here. Don’t expect a warm welcome or smile here! The waiter just grunted as he grudgingly took our order. The food was reasonable and plentiful and the wine was good. It’s 3 stars at best.
This is a “must see” stately home. Close to London the home overlooks a beautiful garden near the Thames. Every room is a work of art with absolutely breathtaking original pictures and a friendly attendant to answer all your questions. Not only is this an outstanding home to visit, it also has a nice cafe and a gift shop. The history is very interesting and you will be spellbound by the “goings on” of previous occupants including the first PM of England!
Nice caravan park very close to the headlands and shorebird nesting sites. A little overcrowded but still OK. Friendly staff. The fob system is a nuisance as there’s no access to the amenities without a fob. Would probably stay again.
