This garden is part of Auckland Botanic Gardens which is a nice collection of gardens, walkways and parks.
There are multiple entrances from different directions with easy access.
Visitor Centre is located at the main entrance and is a good place to start exploration of this Botanical Garden.
This is the oldest garden on this site which was developed in the late 1970's.
This small garden is well maintained and organised. The plants are grown in symmetrical manner and lovely walkway helps in exploring this garden from starting point up to the exit.
The plants in this garden are included based on having some purpose, either for health or healing, cooking and preserving, cosmetics, decoration or ritual. You are welcomed to stop, smell and touch these powerful plants.
Seating and benches are provided at regular distances for taking rest and enjoying the views.
Good for visiting on a clear day to spend a great time. An ideal place to do a get-together or organise a picnic on a sunny day.
Ample parking space. Wheelchair parking is available and there is wheelchair accessible entrance.
A good place for families, kids and meditation.
Public restrooms are available.

Beautiful reserve stretched over to Manukau reserve.
Well maintained.
Guided walking area.
Nice views all around.
Good for an extended walk on a lazy day.
Pity that much of it is now being converted into a dwelling and the end with entrance from Commodore Drive is isolated until the construction is complete. Preferred entrance to the reserve is via end of Royal Viking Way. You may have to stay content with the street parking due to the absence of any dedicated parking area for this big reserve. Wheelchair accessible entrance is available.
Seating and benches are provided at regular distances for taking rest and enjoying the views.
Public restrooms are available at this location.
