A FREE Museum open to the public on UW Madison campus that has a beautiful collection of minerals, gems, meteorites, and fossils. It took us about an hour to go through the entire exhibit (we took a decent amount of time appreciating each exhibit and reading the information cards).
I was surprised how large their collection was. They had a wonderful variety of local minerals and meteorites as well as items from around the country and the world at large.
This museum is a great place for rock enthusiasts and novice appreciaters. It is also a family-friendly and great to bring kids of all ages.
This museum is ADA accessible. There is no parking garage but there is free street parking in the surrounding area.

To reiterate previous posts, the description of this location is not completely accurate. This park is located in a residential neighborhood. There is no parking lot, so you park in front of people's homes. The concrete trail is mainly for biking and any of the tributary trails have signs for no dogs.
I felt out of place walking on this trail since you are just about in people's backyards as well as parking in front of people's homes. It seems this trail is more for the residents in the area to walk their pets.
I didn't stay long due to this, but it definitely a beautiful neighborhood and a well kept trail.

A great hidden gem for Asian cusine in Madison. The inside is so cozy and beautifully decorated. They have a great variety in their menu including options to meet many dietary needs.
Our party ordered the Salmon Teriyaki Bento Box (with Miso Soup), Pork Bento Box (with salad), and a Dragon and Tiger roll. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
The Salmon was perfectly cooked and the Teriyaki sauce was excellent with great flavor and not overly salty. The miso was flavorful and delectable. The sushi was good, not exceptional, but still delicious.
The pricing is affordable with a variety of options to fit your budget.
The service was great and I can't wait to go there again!

Incredible botanical garden- a must see for any resident or visitor in Madison. The outside exhibit is FREE! We spent a good two hours walking the entire area. Depending on how much time you want to spend admiring the plants and vegetation you can spend as little or as much time as you want. The grounds are well kept and there is a great variety of native flowers and exotic. It is a pollinator heaven. There are so many monarch butterflies, honey bees and bumble bees. It is truly so serene and tranquil. It is a perfect spot for leisurely strolls, reading, photo ops or just needing a break from life.
There is a dome area that costs money. There is plenty of parking. Much of the outside exhibit is ADA and stroller friendly. Great for couples, groups and families with children.
Truly an incredible gem in the Madison area.

Great sushi restaurant. The Sushi combos are a very affordable option and you get a great variety of sushi. Some of the rolls were sloppy but they still tasted great.
When we went they were very busy and the service was slow. There was a short wait to be seated. There is a great variety of vegetarian (pescaterian) options with many vegan and vegetable based dishes. The restaurant has an extensive bar with many varieties of liquor.
As is the cuisine, sushi is a higher priced commodity but there are affordable options on the menu. The combos are a great choice for sushi on a budget. For those where price isn't a factor, there are tons of high quality fish, eels and squid.
My personal favorite had to be the spicy tuna roll and the seabass.
It is on the main street of the shopping mall with street parking and a free parking structure. The restaurant is ADA accessible. There is limited seating and wouldn't recommend for large groups.
