i've been here multiple times and its a really good skatepark. there are many different rails, banks, bowls, stairsets, ledges, manny pads, and a lot of other things too. all of these obstacles are also very different and are built for people of any skill, for example, there are small banks for beginners, and larger ones for more experienced people, this also applies to the other obstacles in the park. the size of the skatepark is also really good, its really big and theres a lot of space to skate which makes it good for some people who like to ride flatground. another thing i'd like to point out is that if your someone who doesn't really like to ride street, theres a bowl on the side of the park that is really huge and it features a spine, 90 degree ledge, and in one part of the bowl theres a quarter pipe that goes over 90 degrees. and if you don't really like to ride park, theres a street section where theres many rails, ledges, stairsets, banks, and a lot of obstacles, which makes this park really good for any type of skater. so overall, i think if you want a really big and open place to skate, and that has a lot of different styles of obstacles, then i think you should come to this skatepark and check it out.
this skatepark is pretty good, it has some pretty good features where you can’t really find at some other skate parks. it has a lot of downledges, some flat bar rails, a really long ledge, a quarter pipe, manny pad, and a couple of other obstacles you can skate. there’s also a park right next to it as well as a small walking trail too, which makes the park pretty accessible, it’s also located in between a neighborhood so it’s not too busy most of the time. for example, when i went there was only one person there and that was it, so basically i had the skatepark to myself. the skatepark also has a water fountain and washrooms right beside it which makes this skatepark really nice. however, one downside to this skatepark is that it’s really small, and after a while of skating here, it does get a bit boring because there isn’t that much obstacles to skate since it’s a small skate park, but overall it’s still a good skatepark and one that i’d definitely recommend checking out if you stop by here.
This spot is has a really beautiful and scenic view of the water as well as Iona Beach and the jetty. This viewpoint also has a parking lot so if you’re in a car, then you have space to park as the viewpoint is basically in the parking lot. There are also sort of like benches that you can sit down on when you look at the viewpoint so you can rest or take a break here. So if you’re driving to UBC, or just around this area, then i’d suggest to check out this viewpoint.
This trail is really beautiful and cool, however it does take a while to complete (around 3-5 hours) So, I would recommend to leave early if you plan to hike this trail. In the start, you have to go through the Stawamus Chief Trail for around 20 minutes, until the trail splits and you can enter the sea to summit trail. The trail itself isn’t too difficult it’s just that it takes a while to hike and reach the summit. This trail also has ropes and chains on the upper part of the trail to support hikers when they are climbing steep hills and other obstacles similar to that. Once you reach the summit there are lots of activities to do, such was walk around the smaller trails around the summit, as well as walking on the huge suspension bridge. There are also two ways that you can take to head back to the parking lot, hiking or taking the gondola. If you plan to hike just make sure you have enough time of daylight so you don’t get lost on the trail since the trail is a bit difficult to navigate during low visibility. If you take the gondola it costs $20 for a download ticket back to the parking lot, I would recommend to take the gondola down since it has amazing views of Squamish and the river. Overall, I definitely would recommend this to hikers looking for a longer hike but not too hard, as well as a really good view at the summit.
Pretty good place to walk with a good atmosphere. You can also use a bike here too. There are many trees along the way with a small river on the side. If you are coming here just be a bit prepared since it does take a while to get to the other side of the pathway. 10-15 minute bike ride.
