Xi’an Cuisine

The Xi’An style food served here is not only authentic, it is some of the best in the USA, similar to what I would expect from xian famous foods nyc. Their LiangPi is fresh, spicy, with all of the toppings- the noodle is thick and chewy. I also got the hand pulled beef noodle soup to truly test out their noodle pulling abilities- the soup was a super beefy and simmered over time with plenty spices and aromatics.

Although I wish they still had their buffet option their to go sushi is really up to standards with other nice sushi places. I wouldn’t say A+, but everything was pretty darn near perfect, especially for being in a pretty random spot in Chicago area. My Nigiri pieces of sushi were well portioned and all of the fish was fresh. The rice was soft and chewy and slightly cool- the way it should be. I definitely recommend this place for those who have an itch for $2.00 Nigiri pieces.
I’ve been coming to this Ramen shop since I was in high school and it’s still one of the favorites in town. Don’t be afraid of the long line it won’t last too long and it will definitely be worth the wait. I always get all of the extras like the egg and the salmon rice with salmon eggs. It would be advantageous for your party to have somebody wait in line while somebody looks for a table during busy days.

This stall is definitely one of the overlooked ones at this cafeteria. Very curry sauces are always phenomenal and I have tried all of their pork options my favorite is the garlic pork belly. This time I got the fried chicken Karaage and it was pretty good over a large portion of rice and some pickled vegetables.

Pretty good in general, my chicken skewer was not hot anymore but still tasty. I do not recommend the sausages, they taste like the usual sausage at the grocery store (not Japanese?), the pork belly was by far my favorite and it was hot too!
