Peaceful walk, easily accessible and not too busy. You can see a variety of birds, specially near the ponds. The views are good at the beach. I’d say this is a hidden gem if you like to walk and want to do some bird watching.

Best place to camp in the Whistler - Pemberton area, specially if you are planning to hike Joffre Lakes. The campground is very well maintained, the staff was extremely friendly, there are small hikes nearby and a lake next door if you want to start your mornings with a swim!

Absolute delight, did this mid-May. I started this hike from Rice Lake parking lot and it was 18.48kms, took me ~4.5 hours. I did this on a weekday and there very few people on the trail. I imagine it’s busier on the weekends. Definitely need a full day for this hike, it’s easy and more like a LONG walk.
