A very nice place right in front of the old town wall with live music from 19:30 in an old courtyard (there are also places outside). Plates from the traditional cretan cousine (not a huge variety) with prices that are a little higher from the standard of classic "cretan taverna" but in line with the restaurant in Chania (expensive). Fried cheese croquette with figue honey are very good as the shrimps and the porck stesk grilled. Portion are not as big but its enought.
Raki and a little sweet offered at the end.
The place is very popular so be ready to wait a little. Service is gentle and they speak italian too.

Hide old style greek restaurant. The food is all fresh and made at the moment, prices are good, portion more than enought and the location (a little hide from the street but nearby the central square) is pretty nice!

If you want to have a real local experience, with traditional greek-crete food and excelent cost quality (dinner with 2 appetizers, 3 plates, beer, water and sweet less than 40 euros) this is the place to go!

Simple but super charming and with great "home made" style Thai food. It's a family business and you will feel it from the entrance. Large variety of food (also for vegetarian and halal), delicious soups and thai curry!

Maybe a little out the main tourist attraction.. but this covered market is fantastic. Huge variety of tapas of good quality, beer in bottle and much more. Prices are excellent (and low). So if you came by must stop here for a lunch.
Its not big so maybe you will need to wait a little for a pleace to seat.
