Walking into Unit, you can’t help but admire how the clean lines and modern decor pay homage to its industrial warehouse origins. It’s a space that invites you to sit back and soak in the ambiance. During Ramadan, the staff’s thoughtfulness shines through as they offer water and dates to those breaking their fast at Maghreb, a gesture of kindness that doesn’t go unnoticed.
The burgers, however, were a mixed bag. The buns were fresh, and the toppings, a delightful ensemble, but the meat patty itself fell short, tasting a tad undercooked. On the flip side, the generous portion of chips was nothing short of fantastic – crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
A minor letdown was the drink selection, limited to a single brand of soft drinks, leaving little room for choice. It’s a detail that, if addressed, could elevate the dining experience to match the restaurant’s many strengths.
In all, Unit is a place with great potential, marked by its friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere, but with a little more attention to the culinary execution, it could truly shine.

On one hand, the variety and number of plants are commendable, offering a decent glimpse into different floras. The design of the indoor garden itself is quite impressive, with thoughtful layouts that guide visitors through a green journey.
However, the journey quickly turns sour as the health and condition of most plants are, frankly, a disaster. It’s disheartening to see tropical plants wilting and struggling for survival, their leaves a testament to neglect. The pavilions, which should be a sanctuary for these plants, sadly fail to convey any sense of vitality or freshness.

I wandered through the different garden areas, each with its unique charm, and was constantly impressed by the variety of plants and flowers. The gardens are a wonderful escape from the city bustle, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Sheffield, especially during springtime.
Kelham Island Museum is a great place to learn about the history of Sheffield's industrial past. The museum is home to a number of exhibits, including a 12,000 horsepower steam engine that is still in working order. The engine is turned on twice a day and it is an extraordinary experience to see it in action.
