Mike (I think he is a manager) appears to be indifferent to his coworkers and customers.
I was waiting at customer service today to buy a gift card. The young lady at the desk was on the phone helping a customer find out the price of some item in the meat department but couldn't find it in her system. She called "Mike" to the front for assistance. He sauntered over and pulled up the information on her terminal. Didn't say much. Just walked away leaving his coworker to figure it out. She had to yell after him to find out what the price was.
Mike made no eye contact with me, didn't acknowledge that I was waiting or check to see if there was anything he could do to assist me. I could forgive that if he seemed to be really busy or in a hurry but he wasn't moving with any sense of urgency. It looked more like casual indifference. Like helping an employee help a customer was inconvenient for him.
I could have this all wrong but if that is typical behavior for one of your managers, he is costing you good employees and customers.
