Fine sand but the beach area is super small and crowded. The water is shallow and surrounded by rocks. Parking lot is tiny and the flat fee is $10. No restrooms.
Nice and peaceful place. The admission fee is $10 per adult for access to the exhibit and the observation deck but you can walk around the wetland without paying the admission. The cafe also serves decent food.
OVERPRICED. FAKE LOBSTER ROLL. Don't expect the one from New York. The lobster roll was $30 but was tiny (4 inches) with what tasted like imitation crab stick that was frozen and flaked beyond recognition. You can buy lobster-flavored crab meat from the grocery for a fraction of the price. The only saving grace is the fries. Also ordered the lobster poutine for $15 which was interesting but instead of gravy, they used Campbell's seafood chowder or something. Same comment on the fake lobster and crab meat.
The beef gyro was like spam or deli meat. It looked and tasted processed.

Also got the lamb souvlaki which was kinda dry.
