Bob Evans
2023 Nov 17
It has been years since I ate at a Bob Evans. Food was fair, although if the prices get higher, the quality will no longer be worth it. I had the ham plate with mashed potatoes and green beans. The ham tasted like it was processed ham from a loaf, and the potatoes were thick and pasty, which reminded of powdered potatoes from a cafeteria. The burger with the pot roast was really good... except the ranch dressing on it. The pumpkin pie was definitely a frozen pie and tasted like the box it was shipped in as well as the banana nut bread. Service was average. The atmosphere is old and the restaurant had an odor it.
The Locale

To be honest....this was place was disappointing. The decor is average at best. The wide opening sitting makes conversation difficult because of noise. The food was marginal. My steak was undercooked and tough! The meat was not high quality. I ordered an Old Fashion from the bar. It was not mixed correctly, made with really cheap bourbon. The server was friendly and attentive as was the hostess. While the decor was average, the restaurant was clean. The bathrooms were also well maintained. I may give this restaurant another try because it's local. I hesitate to recommend this restaurant when there are other places in local to get an enjoyable meal.
The Breakfast Co

This local breakfast is conveniently located on a main street making it easy to get to. The food was good and well portioned. Service could use a little improvement. When paying 2.00 for a cup coffee....it would be nice to get more than one cup. The restaurant is a bit noisy due to its austere interior...to include concrete floors and open ceiling.
