A classic Michelin star. Everything was on point. Went for lunch and it sure is a great deal. Nothing surprised me but it was super delicious. The way the add caviar in courses is lovely. Service was a 10/10, always assisting us to the best. Elegant place to go.
A michelin stared restaurant but it was very average. There are much better restaurants in nyc with fresh ingredients and great culinary techniques. I do question how they got their star. Starting off with complimentary bread, I don’t complain because it is complimentary. Had the Toro and Octopus for appetizer and Toro was very salty but bland. No flavor other than being salty. Octopus didn’t taste nor felt fresh but the sauce texture help out boost the flavor. Snow crab noodles is one of their known dishes but honestly I can make instant noodles too, just needed to add crab on top. It was just fine for me. Beignets for dessert was interesting? I didn’t understand the whole pairing situation, as if they just added those flavors all of a sudden. And they gave us a spoon and a knife for them. Please tell me how we were supposed to use these two combined.
Now service… wow I absolutely have to dislike it. They kept rushing us even tho when obviously we didn’t finish the plates, their attitude sounded very angry all the time, not in a good mood. I was honestly very disappointed at the service. (Another reason why I disagree with the tipping system here)
The restaurant was nice and cozy but that’s it. Overall I don’t recommend. I honestly question their star. I put it at three stars because I had a nice day and went with enjoyable people.

Looking for tacos in nyc? This is the place. Two places for tacos that I love is Birrialandia and Empellon. Very different style but Empellon is really delicious. I odered a lunch set which comes with appetizer, main and a dessert (only for $45) and it was a HUGE deal! Starting with the salsa tasting, that was such a fun experience. For appetizer, I got the lobster salad, and this salad was not filled with veggies but filled with lobster and it was so tasty. The tacos were amazing and adding different salsas and guacamole made it perfect. Plus the dessert was refreshing for a hot day. The staff were so nice and always give us more chips if needed. Environment is pleasant and comfortable. Overall, go for it! Worth being int the NYT best 100 top restaurants in NYC.
Went to Le Coucou to celebrate my graduation and it was good food and great ambience but if you are celebrating an occasion, I don’t recommend going there. So instead of a la carte we order the very coucou dinner, which are courses chosen by the chef. This tasting is $195pp. That was interesting. Everything was good but nothing surprising or special. The waiters also were a bit slow and not knowing what exactly is going on(?) I ordered warm water and water looked at me as if they didn’t know what was warm water, and when explaining the courses they weren’t very knowledgeable whenever we had a question. The star of the course was the lobster bisque, and the rabbit was also good. Since I was celebrating, I did expect a free dessert or even at the very least the word “congratulations” in the last dessert course. Another thing that annoyed me a bit was the huge tall cancel and vase in the middle of the table. It was hard to look and communicate with the person opposite side. I still give it 4 stars because food was great but they should really take note in a few things.
Top world restaurant. Innovative. And simply an unforgettable experience. It was absolutely incredible. From entering the restaurant to the very end of walking out was another universe. It was worth every penny.
Wonderful and knowledgeable staff, making sure my partner and I were clarified with all the questions we had. Each course was presented with delicacy and passion. You could taste everything in detail without feeling overflowed with ingredients. It was complex yet simple and fresh. Understanding the different altitudes of Peru with their ingredients was outstanding. If you are in Peru, please go to Central. This is the place where you discover Peru to a whole new level.
I’ll go back to Lima just for Central. I hope they get No. 1 in the Top 50 World Restaurants.
