Went to this place for dinner on a Friday night with a couple of friends for Ramen. Most of their Ramens are pork broth based & I don't really prefer that, so I got their Veggie Ramen with Mushroom & Yuzu broth. The broth was great and tasted very fresh due to the Yuzu. I did ask them to add a soft-boiled egg, which they forgot at first. I also requested for the spicy chili oil to be added for that extra kick. It tasted pretty great - especially the thin fresh noodles.
I was surprised that they didn't have any Chicken protein option for their Ramen - not even as add-ons.
We also ordered the Chicken Karagee & Calamari for appetizers, and they both were fantastic. They have an extensive menu outside of the Ramen that we didn't explore as much.
Definitely would visit here again if I am around San Mateo, although I do wish they had a Chicken Ramen option on their menu. Highly recommend for folks who are open to eating Beef or Pork.
There is parking around the restaurant and easy to find. Reservations recommended.

Went to Avani for a Friday Dinner and the restaurant was packed. We got lucky to get a table soon but there was a huge line-up after us. The ambience is pretty nice & their staff is very well-trained as they were very quick & courteous.
We ordered - Manchow Soup, Sham Savera Kebabs, Daal Makhni, Paneer Butter Masala, Chicken Tikka Masala, Naans, Nimbu Masala Martini & Coconut Fried Ice-cream.
The Manchow soup is very different from what you get in India but it was very nice - peppery & gingery, great for the chillier weather that night. The Sham Savera was a delight. Our Main courses were decent - not a huge fan but alright. The Chicken in the Gravy did not seem to be grilled (like mentioned in the description) neither was it marinated well so it seemed very bland in a flavoured curry.
Nimbu Masala Martini was lovely. The Coconut Fried ice cream was quite the opposite of what I expected. I was expecting a batter fried scoop but it was a scoop coated with toasted coconut - wasn't that great.
Overall, decent experience but turned out to be expensive.

We usually stop by at Anokhi after or before a movie to grab a bite as it is situated in a Cinema plaza. Their food has such authentic flavors that feel just like home! Have been here twice now & loved all the dishes we tried. They have some unique mocktails & cocktails which are pretty good too.
Quantities are great and its good value for money. Definitely recommend trying their Chicken Tikka Masala & Bhatti ka Murg. I personally love their Onion Kulcha which is not always a popular choice but would recommend trying it out.

Shivas is a newly opened Indian restaurant in the KW area that serves authentic food from the Southern parts of India.
We went to try the food here for Sunday dinner. The place was packed; they do have smaller seating area and we had to wait for about 15mins to get our table. The service here is quick. We tried their Medu Vadai; Chicken 65; Mysore Masala Dosa; Podi Masala Dosa & Filter Coffee.
They serve 6 medu vadai in a plate. The Vadai was hot but lacked some salt. The Chicken 65 was pretty good. And both the Dosas were crispy, fresh & very flavorful. The Mysore Masala was slightly better than the Podi Dosa. The filter coffee was okay - too milky.
But their Chutneys are really average, the red chutney they serve with the Dosa is terrible. The White coconut chutney is alright. Their Sambar isn't flavorful at all - they served sambar with Medu Vadai as well as Dosas. Both Sambar tasted different, 1 was a very thick consistency of lentils (barely any spice) and the other was thinner consistency but no flavor at all. Also, the quantity of sambar we got with the 2 dosas were very different - different size cups basically, but we didn't care too much as we didn't enjoy the taste of it anyway.
Overall, Dosas is likely the only thing I'd go back for but there are quite a few places that serve Dosas on-par.

Little Rascals is such a cute aesthetic place with a very chic vibe. Went in without a reservation around 7pm on a Thursday and was lucky enough to get a spot. The place got busier soon after.
They have limited but impeccable options for Food & Drinks on their menu and I tried the El Cantinero - Mezcal which was Delicious! We tried their Trio Dips with fresh Bread which was mindblowing.
For the mains, we tried the Shrimp with Muhamara & Chicken Brochette which were both extremely flavorful. Everything here was perfect except for the wilted flower on the Table.
The place is definitely heavy on the pocket tho! But I'd still recommend it for a fancy dinner.
