The view at top of Vermont’s highest mountain, Mt. Mansfield, is a view not to miss! There are plenty of gondolas so you don’t even need to purchase tickets in advance though it’s recommended. The kids were given a list of items to hunt for once on top of the mountain and in return they were entered into a prize drawing. That made it fun for them! Many people were also hiking up the mountain.
Where you definitely should make reservations in advance is the restaurant at top of the mountain, Cliff Restaurant, as their hours of operation are limited. Their pricing is reasonable and their food okay. What I thought was awkward was if you sit outside then you have to go back inside and order your food. Waiters are there to bring you the food and pick up your plates. The place is small, but the view is grand!
