My daughter was brought in tonight by ambulance and I did not have transportation to get her home after she was released policy states for University of Maryland that if you come in by ambulance, they can provide transportation home via cab Uber or Lyft and I am a palled of Christina, the charge, nurse, supervisors behavior, and the rest of the staff I have noticed that they like to take their badges off, refuse to give names or cover their badges so that they don’t have to give care if they don’t want to my 18 year old daughter needed a ride home and I could not provide that for her because I did not have the financial means to get her home after an entire half a day in the emergency room. They finally let her come home. She asked Christina the charge nurse for a cab ride home because she did not have transportation, the small Asian woman who is also a nurse in the ER tonight decided to get rude and disrespectful with a 18-year-old girl by telling her no they were not going to provide it. She needs to figure it out when the young lady came in my daughters room to give her discharge papers. My daughter asked for a cab home she refused. I asked the woman her name she refused to give it, she then came back in the room with her name badge off, covered up and still refused to give her name. I explain to the nurse that policy is if you come in by ambulance, they can provide transportation home because unfortunately people cannot always afford to get Transportation home or have the means to get home, they continue to decline and left my 18-year-old daughter after discharging her sitting in the waiting room because we did not have financial means to get her home or to pick her up. I am so beyond disappointed and disrespected by the continuous behavior of the ER staff, they always give you the advocate number when you call the advocate number and you file a complaint they do nothing, now I understand why this hospital has one star they just need to shut this place down. I will not stop until Christine the charge nurse tonight and the rest of the staff that treated my 18-year-old daughter like she was nothing or responsible for the behavior.
