This is a great place for visitors to Canberra to understand the layout of the city. This lookout is centrally located and has views across multiple valleys.

You can see many of the major Canberra landmarks, such as Lake Burley Griffin, the city centre, New Parliament House, and Woden. You can also see over to Queanbeyan and the airport, with Belconnen in the distance to the north.

There used to be a kiosk and restaurant here in the past, but it is now closed and fenced off. Maybe it didn't survive COVID.

There is plenty of free parking and public toilets near the kiosk building.

NOTE: my GPS took me to a small lookout area before the main one. For the best views you need to drive to the end of the road that loops around the kiosk building and then up to the main carpark.

There is a viewing walkway running around the edge once you get to the top, just below the road.

This is particularly good to visit in Autumn when the trees turn red and orange.

Great place for an easy walk in the park. The garden is in 2 halves, with one nicely landscaped and the other yet to be done.

The landscaped part is around a lake that had multiple bridges and viewing areas. There are small waterfalls and tropical areas.

Wheelchair accessible paths and easy parking.
