WARNING RE: BOOKING AND PAYING ONLINE!!
EDIT: After managing to catch the owner in person at the business operational site on Maroochy River (still no response via phone or email), Dan apologised, citing communication issues and immediately took action to refund our deposit (which has just processed a week later). Such a shame as the jet ski experience itself in the past has been brilliant (which is why we have repeatedly used this service in the past). We were willing from the start to simply re-book our jet ski experience but unfortunately this booking debacle has left a sour taste in our mouth, otherwise it would be a 5 Star review. The initial booking was for the 2/10/23 so officially took 20 days to get our deposit back and only through dogged determination on our behalf.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
DONT BOOK AND PAY ONLINE!! Over a dozen attempts this week to contact the business through unanswered calls and emails following a glitch in their booking system reverting our booking to a different time and day. Called the business 6 times on the day prior to our "booking" to ensure they were aware and left messages with no response. Have evidence in writing that our booking was cancelled at our end but tour guide Pete then called the next day to see where we were (no communication within the business either it seems). After no response from Dan (the business owner) I called back Peter who claims to be helping out Dan this week and would talk to Dan to sort out issue and returns my call to tell me deposit has been transferred back to our account and to email Dan again and he will send me a copy of the transaction. Still no response from Dan and still no money in our account. Further investigations have discovered this is a common issue this week, with no-one from business turning up for paid bookings and not responding to calls. We have used this business several times in the past but have never booked online, only paying on the day of the service when available. Turns out this is something that has happened time and again with no-shows from operators, unanswered calls and no refunds (according to previous reviews).
