Many fascinating sculptures within the park. Different and refreshing to see. Really enjoyed strolling and appreciating the artwork

As much as I liked this park, the unfortunate reality is that it’s a private park. This pretty much means, as soon as a child steps on the grass, or comes close to see a statue, a “berkut” labeled security guard runs yelling at the kids to stay away.
This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. How about putting a fence around the whole area and not letting people come in?

Alexander Tamanian was the chief architect of Yerevan who helped create our circle-shaped city, cozy neighborhoods, beautiful tufa (lava rock) buildings and well designed streets as well as the beautiful Cascade Complex and its white stairs. This statue reminds Yerevan’s guests and residents who we should mainly be grateful to for shaping our beautiful city.

Behind this statue there is a wonderful park. 250 trees of 70 exclusive species have been planted in the park. The green area has almost been doubled. Only old and ill trees have been felled down while several healthy trees have been transferred from the central part of the park where fountains are currently located to the edge parts of the park. The park has 24/7 irrigation with an unprecedented drip and shower autonomous irrigation system.
Yerevan map made of pink quartzite has been installed in the central part of the park surrounded with fountains. A square carved in the form of Yerevan map has been built with 45 geysers. 5 water statues made of bronze have been placed in 4 corners and center of the fountain complex. Bronze statues of a bull and a lion in Urartu themes, 76 benches, 62 garbage bins and 126 light posts have been installed in the park area.
The park dedicated to the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan is the property of Yerevan Community and any business activities in the park are banned.
