Best Nepalese restaurants in Austria

Their happy chicken momo is the best coming from a Nepali guy. Customer service is out of the world. The lady even offered us with extra hot sauce as if she could read our mind.

The food was simple, elegant and really tasty. One of the best dining experience I have ever had. Took the Nepali thank with 3 vegetable curry and one chicken curry. It was so yummy. One of the best places to have home like Indian food. The staff was really polite :)

The rating was very difficult because the food we ordered was very tasty. We started with the non vegetarian dumplings and Singharas for starters and the Butter Chicken curry and the Khasi Mustang (Lamb in joghurt and coconut sauce).
The Chicken was a little bit dry in our opinion, but other than that everything tasted very good and the atmosphere of the restaurant was good, they even have a table with some pillows to sit on a lower table which creates an authentic feel to the restaurant.

Nice ambience and staff, food wise, my first Nepali Restaurant, so not sure, we liked it though.

A nice restaurant but it's quite crowded most of the time. This takes its toll on the atmosphere (it's quite loud) and the service (sometimes it is difficult to talk to and/or understand the waiter). Food is good though.

Momoness offered an enjoyable experience with their momo, although they deviated slightly from traditional authenticity. Despite this, the taste was acceptable.

The food was really tasty. The restaurant was about to close when we arrived hut the staff was very supportive they accommodated us well, and served us also pretty quickly. We ordered two thalis for 2 persons with extra naan, and it was quite sufficient. Do visit this restaurant when in Innsbruck centrum.

Decent lunch spot. Had the butter chicken, not too much flavor but I think I am just used more flavorful Indian food. Was fresh, super quick, and adequate.

For the first time I tried momos with curry on top of it, it was delicious.

This rating was really difficult to decide on and if I could I would give it a 4.5.
Maybe I just had too high expectations or maybe the original dishes should be ordered in the spicy variation. But to the point: The Momos in chicken soup were amazing. The tempura shrimp were huge and great.
The main dish however was rather bland, except for the pickled vegetables which I really enjoyed. It just felt like something is missing and maybe the spices are just too watered down to adapt the food to European expectations? I really can't say.
The spiced tea was just ok and serving the basic sweet chili sauce from the supermarket was just disappointing.
I think there are some great dishes here, you just need to figure out the right ones for you. So five stars because the Momos in soup were really great and I would like to come again to try out some of the other dishes in hopes of finding another gem.

Incredibly delicious food! So many tasty options. We tried the mixed dumplings some with meat, some with veggies and chicken fillet with mango curry. Both were outstanding. What especially stood out was just how soft the meat was. The people working there were super friendly, with kind smiles and happy to help. Would definitely recommend and also come back ourselves to try different flavors.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at HIMAL, and I was very impressed. I was seated immediately, and my drink order was taken right away. My server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the "Chicken Momo", which are dumplings filled with chicken and spices. The momos were cooked perfectly, and they were very tasty. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the spices were flavorful.

I also ordered the "Lamb Curry", which was also delicious. The lamb was cooked to perfection, and the curry sauce was rich and flavorful. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the curry was not too spicy.

I was particularly impressed with the "Mango Lassi" at HIMAL. It was the best mango lassi I have ever had! It was thick and creamy, and the mango flavor was fresh and delicious.

However, it is important to note that the vegetarian dishes at HIMAL are not as good as the meat dishes. I ordered the "Royal Paneer", and they were not very flavorful. The vegetables were also overcooked. I would not recommend the vegetarian dishes at HIMAL.

Great spot for a meal. Fried momos were good. Also decided to get the butter chicken and some other dishes which were fine but there seemed to be missing some flavours you’d expect from a restaurant like this (spices and the sort). The service was speedy and friendly. Would recommend this place for anyone in the area.

Above average indian food. Really good vibe in the restaurant. Sat outdoors with semi-decent mountain views. Definitely try the Royal paneer dish.

We ate here at lunch time, the food was tasty Dal-Bhat Kukhura (great balance between pepperiness and other flavors). The location is also convenient

We ordered chicken (Picture 1) and veggie (Picture 2) momos and we liked both of them. The most green veggie momos I’ve ever had. When asked, the person responded that it is made with spinach.

Both the momos are served with coconut curry. The curry was also good. The food was served warm and well presented. If you want to really enjoy the food, ask for the spicy sauce. I’m sure the sauce will trigger the tastebuds 🤤

The best Indian food in Innsbruck. The host was so friendly and lovable. He not only gave us delicious food but also gave us lifetime memories of a great hospitality…I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant if you are in Innsbruck

Amazing hosts and excellent food! We ordered Momos and Nepali Thali.
Momos were juicy and delicious. The spice level for the Thali is offered as per Western pallet, which is understandable. However this can be customized as per our taste. So feel free to inform the spice levels while ordering your food.
Highly recommended for Nepali cuisine in Innsbruck!

I must say one of the best chicken momos i have ever tries specially with the gravy.
The gravy was full of flavors and also not spicy so you can go for it without doubting.
Also the service was really fast and good.
We liked it so much we also got it packed for our dinner.
We also tried mango lassi were also good.
The price is also very reasonable.

How good is this place? I am literally sitting here and still working on my Food as I post this. Amazing. Flavorful, authentic and the portions are huge. I am glad we stopped here. Must visit We had all vegetarian food but I bet non veg will be good too. Got my momo fix here

Can recommend! The food was like ghar ka khaana and was quite reasonably priced!

Great location! Went there to have a quick bite. Decided to have the momos. The service was fast and courteous. The dumplings were good. However, I didn't like the tomato based chutney much. Could have added a bit more depth in its flavors. The card machine sometimes might not work, so it is recommended to carry cash not just here but in general in Innsbruck.

They took us back to HOME . The dal tharkari was divine and the Veggie momos and it’s chutney as well. The fact that they serve you a glass of water first as you take your seat there , which reminded us so much of our homeland. They truly have many blessings from people who ate their food ❤️

Good food for a good price. The service was fast and friendly. I have tried similar food tastier than this, but still the naan is really delicious.

We stopped here for lunch and had the butter chicken, potato spinach, and the happy momo. It was all served over rice and it was all delicious. We also had mango juice that was just the right amount of mango. The staff was so friendly and kind. Definitely recommend trying.

Fabulous and super tasty food. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Great selection of vegan/vegetarian options and also allergies listed. Super helpful the menu was also in English. Note that it’s cash only. There is a cash machine down the road at the university but it charges €3.50 just to withdraw cash so think ahead :)
