A wonderful edifice in tribute the those soldiers who gave their lives.

I recently visited the National War Memorial and was deeply moved by the experience. The memorial is a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by those who served and paid the ultimate price for our freedom. The exterior is impressive, but it's what's inside that truly resonates. Be sure to pop inside to see the honor roll, which pays tribute to the brave men and women who gave their lives in service. It's a sobering and humbling experience that puts things into perspective. Lest we forget, indeed. A must-visit for anyone seeking to understand the true cost of war and the importance of remembering those who fought for us.

A place to spend a little bit of time pondering on the sacrifices of all the soldiers whom fight for their country's ideals.

Here's hoping from me to all world leaders to find a peaceful way to keep the boat steady. Peaceful competition for humanity and not brutal struggle for the lead.

Displayed with dignity and in memorial those who served, protected and gave their life to protect our freedom.
Surrounded by beautiful gardens with seating available, you are able to sit and reflect on an important part of our history.
So many names are displayed, it is a reminder of the fragility of life and security.

I used to love cricket. Played until well beyond darkness on school holidays (stumps were painted onto a street pole, and the neighbour's fence behind it was automatic keeper). Even watching it on TV, even tests. Was never rich enough to go to games although one time Pakistan played at Kardinia Park, Geelong, where I grew up and live, so we went to that; all I remember is that after the game my uncle was hunting for autographs and we somehow ended up outside the change rooms where I saw Imran Khan.. in his jocks. Shocking. Anyway, back to this statue. I used to love cricket buuuuuttt then I joined a club in my 20s... and sadly, I only learnt boredom and how intolerable being in an outfield can be on a 40° day. That said, mad respect and no boredom to this sculpture, this sculptor and this cricketer.

Was visiting Adelaide on a cruise recently. As we were exploring the city, & my 10 year old decided to walk inside. I followed her & noticed all these names. I told her my great grandfather came from Adelaide & died at Gallipoli in 1915. After racking my memory for his name, To my surprise I found his name. Wow, what a surprise, to find his name & remember my great grandfather.

Every time I'm in the area, I pay my respects to the Greatest of the Greats, Sir Donald Bradman.

Lovely location

This garden is a small section of the larger botanical gardens. It has a short path along which you can walk with two areas where you can stop and reflect. There is a public toilet located opposite the gardens. Parking is available but limited. It is easier to park a little way down from the garden and then walk back about 5 minutes.

Well how do you rate a cenotaph? I guess it is something everyone has to stop and at least think of history and where we come from and the sacrifices made. Just stop and take a minute to think how lucky we are at this time

Memorial statue of world class cricketer Sir Donald Bradman. Beautifully constructed and maintained well. While look around you can see this place too. No shelter to protect during bad weather.

Roe Gardens is magical at Sunset. Arrive in late afternoon to walk the wildflower trails and stay to see the Sun go down behind the fountains. Ducks waddle up from the lake and graze for crumbs, never minding you lying on the sloping lawn.

Great to remember those who have fallen in Australia's history.

You could not find a better place for it, surrounded by beautiful big tree's, it was an absolute pleasure to be there. Lest we forget.

I'm not truely sure what you can say about a cenotaph. Just simply pay respect when visiting.
