The food is very affordable and incredibly delicious. The slow cooked beef soup and fried duck were so so yummy. My kids loved the coconut rice and the fried chicken noodles. The interior is shabby and the service is not the best but who cares! The food is cheap and amazing!

Small Authentic Indonesian restaurant with delicious food selections at a great price. Also do take away.

Came in to order some Nasi Goreng because I read the reviews of it being amazing.
Everyone was right! That was some amazing food I had and it reminded me of being back in Bali
I haven't been able to find any decent Nasi Goreng in Perth but this place has it!
Definitely worth a try at this place!

Service: Grab the menu, order, and pay at the front desk. No free tap water. Not busy, food served with utensils fast. The server (I think he's the owner) was considerate --- 7/10
Food: authentic Indonesian cuisine. Tidy presentation. Normal portion. Normal Prices.
- Nasi Padang Komplit, $ 19.2: Curry Chicken, Beef Rendang, Egg Balado, Green Jackfruit Curry, good portion of Steamed Rice, and green chilli sambal. Two chucks of beef were tender. The texture of the chicken leg was good. --- 7.5/10
- Sop Buntut, $18: the soup was salty. 3pc of Ox tail was tender. --- 6.5/10
- Mee Goreng Jawa, $15: big portion. Stir-fried yellow noodles with shredded chicken, cabbage, bean sprouts, choy sum in Japanese style, and a fried egg on the top. Mild spicy --- 7/10
- Es Cendol, $5.5: sweet, but not much cendol.

It's been my go to Indonesian restaurant in Perth for a long time. Having lived overseas for almost a decade, it's been nice to come back and see the food is as good as ever. Also happy to see that they've started selling their own sauces!

I can't come here without ordering the delicious Nasi Kuning Komplit. If I'm super hungry I'll also get the Satay Ayam, as the sauce is the closest in Perth to what I remember from living in Bali many many years ago. It should all be washed down with a lovely, but very sweet Es Cendol!

Plenty of Indonesians eat here, which is always a good sign. Not the fanciest looking place, but the food more than makes up for any loss in the atmosphere department.

I have ordered 2 Nasi Gorengs one with a lot and one with just prawn and chicken, and a special spicy chicken. Both nasi goreng were just bland. I have tasted nasi goreng in many places . Everywhere it was give with a fried egg. Now egg here. Disappointed. Special spicy chicken is some what good but no traces of spiciness. Though, the food was a failure , the service was good . Sorry to say this . No more Bonsai Bali. Thank you ..

Me and my partner found this metal piece in the food. Did some online search to find out what it is and figured it might be a piece from the steel scrub sponge. I am not sure if this is a common occurence but definitely enough for us to lose our trust with this restaurant because this is the second time it happened.

I enjoyed the kitchen's Soto Betawi for $15.50 although having to order a side of steamed rice brought it closer to $20.

Anyway it was a generous serve of tasty broth with lots of tender chunks of beef.

Complimentary sambal and sweet soy sauce went well over the rice with spoonfuls of the nicely spiced coconut broth.

Speaking of sambal the restaurant supplies several types to selected supermarkets in Perth and they are very good. I always like to have one in the fridge.

I agree with some other reviewers that it would be nice if the restaurant provided tap water but I wouldn't get my knickers in a twist because they don't; the food is too good.

Went for lunch with a friend, ordered the food, a few minutes later, I asked for a glass or bottle of tap water, which in the vast majority of Perth restaurants is supplied free of charge to patrons.
Not at Batavia Corner, I was told "we do not supply water, you must buy"....Really?
Bad attitude and bad customer service. If we had not already paid I would have walked out. I will not return.. how hard is it to provide a simple glass of water to a customer that asks?? Business must be really bad if a restaurant can't even supply tap water. Mean and stingy.

The first dish, a comprehensive Nasi Campur, boasted a mix of savory fried chicken, rich and crunchy tempeh, and a hearty helping of rice accompanied by a medley of sambal, egg, and fresh vegetables. The second plate, an aromatic Nasi Padang, highlighted tender beef rendang and a delicate green jackfruit curry, both carried by the fluffy bed of white rice. This is where the Indonesians go in Perth if they miss home. Well, here and a few other places in Vic Park. It's also the best place which showcase Indonesian hospitality IMO, as it's a family-run place and they treat every customer like friends and royalty.

My grandma used to go here and the owner would know her by sight. Over the years, all my other mates of all skin colours and accents who live in Perth also knew about this place. The reason is simple: good food, great service, immorally low prices.

I'd say all the food here are pretty safe bets, even though I'm biased as an Indonesian, and I tend to eat everything. If you're looking to start a masters in Indonesian cuisine, Batavia Corner is a good place to start.

Firs time came here, having lunch with friends. So impressed with the food, bebek bali is soooo yummy, especially the sambal matah makes it perfect. Tried my friends food too, iga bakar, empal, ikan bakar bali are so yum. Dont forget to try risol and ice cendol too 😋

We have been trying so many Indonesian restaurant here in Perth but this one got me addicted with the Bebek Goreng, tender and crispy skin with spicy sambal. I ordered this 2 for my self everytime. The Mie Goreng and Nasi Goreng Jawa also besttttt, not gonna lie, try in and thank me later. The customer service also best, the owner was friendly, the place also getting bigger then before when i came around 2021. If you wanted to try the Nasi Padang, come in the afternoon.

Defo one of our fav Indonesian Restaurant here in Perth, so many option in their menu from Padang food, Java, Palembang you name it and they all yummy even my scotish husband love them. If you in perth and miss Indonesian food the this place is a must try ! 👍🏼

I have been to a few indonesian restaurants and I reckon this is the best u can find in perth. Satay and fish is champion! Satay got the charcoal taste, tender, and not dry. The sauce used to grill fish is best. See the photo. Chicken ( ayam kremes), batagor, and noodle is also nice! Will be back for more🙏🏻.

I've also had their Beef Rendang in the past, and it's a dish I still think about. one of my go to places for cheap Indonesian food that brings me back to the nostalgia of home. their food is very great and you get a discount with a PPIA card (@ppiacurtin for more info) and their service is 100% very great. i love them so much and they never disappoint!

First time here and I was pleasantly surprised. Food was tasty and authentic. Service was fast and friendly. Prices were very reasonable. Definitely be back here soon!

We walked in tonight at 5 to 9 thinking they were open till 930pm and were greeted so happily by the lovely lady at the front. Once we realised they close at 9 instead of 930 we were deeply apologetic and she insisted it was ok and they'd happily put together our meal, even throwing in some prawn crackers on top free of charge.
Can say the service is impeccable and the food was delicious. We will certainly be back (before 9pm!)

Fast delivery but food was cold. Chicken skewers were dry. Only good part of the order was the fried rice. Last 2 orders we had delivered were pretty ordinary.

Visited twice within 2 weeks and both visits were great. Nice ambience, helpful friendly staff and fresh yummy food cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

First time visit after stumbling across it while looking for something else and have to say we were glad we did. Smallish but we really weren't uncomfortable. Service was excellent and it was fairly quick to get our orders though at the time we were only 1 of 3 tables but it filled up quickly. Food was really delicious with good serving sizes. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

You have choices of beef, chicken and seafood dishes. The grilled squid is amazing and my other favourite dish. The sauce is yummy.

Every time I’m I walk through the doors I’m greeted by such friendly staff. One of the front staff Billy, has exceptional customer service. Not only is Billy’s customer service outstanding, but my family and I always seems to leave with a smiles on ours faces. The food is terrific will be back again soon.
