the doctor scanned over my body for 1 minute. I'm freckly from head to toe but spend most of my time in the sun. Have had skin cancers cut out. 1 minute is not enough time checking when it could be your life on the line.

I saw Dr Rick for my first skin check, just a general check up. He found a superficial melanoma on my back. He made the whole experience as comfortable as possible and was very knowledgeable

I went to the clinic late last year to check on the mole I was concerned about. I was told everything is fine as I have European skin and there is nothing to do and just observe it. I went back to my GP few months later and ask to cut the mole out. The pathology results came back with superficial spreading melanoma stage 1 which was a shock.
I am little bit disappointed with 'lack' of the dismissal due to my European background. I have been living in Australia for almost 20 years and it doesn't mean I won't get melanoma because I wasn't born here. If I didn't follow my gut who knows how serious this could get.

I enquired about an appointment over the phone with the receptionist this morning - unbelievably rude and unprofessional. After reading some reviews, I asked if there were any additional costs. She became very defensive and after a few more times asking admitted there would be extra costs. Base rate was $190 for a basic skin check or $390 for mole mapping and then it’s an additional $55 - $70 for a photo to be taken of one mole, with extra costs for “other services” which she refused to explain. Exorbitant prices considering all other places do this for half the price and don’t charge extra for additional services. Glad I didn’t book an appointment and hope the receptionist can find some manners in the near future.

Dr Sarah is absolutely great, makes you feel so comfortable. The reception staff are also amazing, always with smiles on their faces and happy to help!

The doctor who runs the clinic is nicknamed the butcher to locals. If he doesn't seriously butcher you, his unprofessional attitude completely misses most cancers, this business is a cash cow and fraudulent. I've been there and so have many of my friends.

My husband went for a skin check three months ago and he was told he was fine no issues. He went to a different clinic for a second opinion and turns out he has two melanomas.
Lucky they caught them just in time
I am furious with this Coogee skin cancer centre for not helping my husband and not recognising the danger he was in!!!
Not worth the money you clearly are a generic centre who just want peoples money and you clearly don’t care what happens to them…
I have already told all my friends and relatives to never go to your clinic. I will also be talking to fair trading about your negligence.

Dr Sarah McDonald is a brilliant dermatologist. My husband I have been seeing her for years. She is very knowledgeable and we always feel we are in good hands. Highly recommend.

I got my skin checked last week. It was a brilliant experience. The whole team from my first contact with reception to the detailed scan and my operation to remove a cancer was first class. They have a full map of my skin so can see quickly and systematically if anything changes. Couldn't recommend the team highly enough.

Highly recommend. Thorough skin inspection and photos from previous check brought up to check current condition. I feel confident I am getting a thorough and indepth check.

I had a really great experience at bondi skin cancer clinic! Reception staff were super friendly and helpful (even at 8am!) and Dr Vo was wonderful!
Dr Vo was very friendly and chatty which helped make the appointment feel quick and comfortable but he also took the time to explain everything in simple terms and even showed me the close ups of moles and what to look out for.
Not only that, he went over and above and advised me on some aesthetic mole/blemish removal questions I had and I’ve booked in for a later date to get that seen to! A skin wizard 🙌🏽

Dr Ashvin Arunachalam was extremely though performing my skin check. He was able to answer all of my questions in a language I could understand and made me feel at ease throughout the entire appointment.

I called in needing someone to see my father urgently during the holidays and Nat, the receptionist ensured we were seen same-day. The entire staff was very accommodating, understanding and efficient. I am BEYOND grateful. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

This is the best skin clinic I have been to. They use a computer to map your skin so that every check up is compared to the previous one so I feel it is much more thorough and safer than other places.
Also the staff are great and the receptionist is always so friendly and helpful and makes it a very pleasant visit. Would highly recommend.

Professional, caring, thorough, punctual and all staff friendly. I just don't understand why any Australian - especially those who used to sun-bake - would not be regularly checked by professionals dealing in this field.

I couldn't be happier with the care and professionalism that I experience every time I attend. As I have a family history of skin cancers I attend every 6 months. Everything is explained carefully, well documented and followed up.

In regards to the no-follow up I had, I am giving a 1*.
Therefore here you get a 3*
I saw Doctor Vo on a Tuesday, he did my first skin check after a decade or so, he found a mole he didn't like, removed it straight and send it for biopsy.
They told me they will call me after one week, if I do not hear I should call back on Wednesday.
I called proactivelly after 1 week on the Tuesday to be told the doctor will contact me later.
It didn't happen.
I called back on Wednesday morning and I was told again I will be contacted by the doctor.
It didn't happen [2nd time].
I called in the afternoon and after the call I received a telehealth appointment for Thursday 7:00am-7:20am.
On Thursday none called me [3rd time].
When I was able to call them back [at 5:30pm], I reached a voicemail, telling the emergency number is active from 6:00pm.
On Friday I called back and I was told they sent me on Wednesday afternoon the results of the biopsy.
I checked my email, also the spam and nothing was there.
After the call I received an empty email with no explanation whatsoever and the PDF that was sent from the specialist who did the biopsy to Dr. Vo.
I had to ask a medical friend to help me understand it.
The clinic didn't even mentioned when I should go back.
Doctors, nurses and receptionist of a health clinics should understand that patients are waiting home worrying until they do know the results.
A better and clearer follow up should be a MUST!

This skin clinic is amazing!!!!! the staff and doctor are lovely and very knowledgeable and friendly .
Any time you have questions they will answer them and if any time you need an appointment asap they will find a way to fit you in .
I highly recommend this place , I have been going here for many many years with my husband . And we will continue coming here for the rest of our lives .

Fantastic service, I felt heard, and my concerns were listened to regarding my skin check. The skin check was comprehensive. I have recommended the service to others after my visit.

My wife and I have been going to the Clinic here for quite a number of years now, and even though we moved away from the area and a couple of hours away we wouldn’t go anywhere else.

From the always helpful Vincenza (who never gets fed up with us when we mess about with appointments and dates and is a pleasure to deal with), to the well trained nurses who do the imaging, and especially the Dr himself - we know we are in safe hands.

Irrespective of how many times they have to do the same thing and maintain their focus, they do - they are professional and proven (the Dr identified a tiny innocuous early melanoma on my wife that I suspect many may not have)

The staff and service at the clinic is amazing! They show so much care and are so diligent with checking changes over time. I’m so grateful for their expertise and professionalism. The receptionist is lovely and very accommodating with fitting me in for an urgent review. She kept her promise of waitlisting me in the event of a cancellation and got me in quickly. Thank you!

I have been attending this clinic for over 15 years. I have always been treated with the utmost professionalism, and received top level care. The clinic has the best equipment available, and whilst I now live on the south coast 3 hours away, I continue to come to Bondi for my regular check ups. When I had a serious issue, I was treated with great respect, called after hours, had everything explained to me. I have never had anxiety, because I know am getting the best care available.

Regarding costs, I briefly went elsewhere, and the costs were the same. It would be great if it was bulk billed or if the government through Medicare gave better rebates, but as I am at high risk I will continue to invest my money in this medical checkup, at this service, because of their high tech equipment and attention to a detail, because my health is the most important thing to me.

It has not been my experience that unnecessary procedures are performed to make money, in fact on occasions, I have walked out without a single procedure being needed. I have been butchered my a ‘doctor’ in the past , who thankfully no longer practices, so I do have other experiences to compare this service to.

I have found the receptionists to be wonderful, trying to fit my appointments in, to coincide with my other reasons for coming to Sydney. I find Dr Donnellan to be personable, informative and he will take the time to explain what is going on.

In regards to people complaining about wait times, this is not usual and if it has happened, to me I just assume that a patient has had an unexpected diagnosis and required more time than was anticipated. In that case, I am happy to wait, and if work was calling, I could always rebook and come back another time. I can honestly say I have been left waiting less time here than in the average GP office. This is not a fast food outlet it is a service with one doctor. Reasonable expectations need to be applied.

I cannot recommend this service more highly.

This has got to be the best Doctor’s practice my family and I’ve ever been to as far back as we can remember. The beautiful ladies at front desk work exceptionally hard with a smile and greeting from the front door. You will love Natalie and Deb and have lots of laughs while You sit in the waiting room. Everyone including the patients all have a chat like there having a tea or coffee with friends. Our Doctor Tammy is a Doctor that puts patients first. Very down to earth. She calls to see how you are going. That alone is leaps and bounds ahead of any practice. They also have excellent psychologist Stephanie who also goes above and beyond making sure your recovery is the most important thing for her. The love in this office is real

I have been attending SunDoctors for quite a few years now for my yearly skin consultations (when we weren't in lockdown). I am impressed with the high professionalism, friendliness and care from this place. The specialists here made me feel comfortable and are very professional. I have had a few in-house surgical removals (including biopsies) as well as consultations. Well recommended.
I went today (23/11/23) for a consultation and recommend the friendliness, professionalism and kindness of Dr Kim (Sin Ching) Lee. Administration staff are supportive and kind too!

The service that Deb (the receptionist) provided for me prior to and during the time I visited the medical centre today was absolutely above and beyond anything I have ever experienced before. She has a caring & warm personality and managed to put my anxieties at ease about visiting for a skin cancer check. Deb called to let me know a time update, and was exceptionally attentive to sanitising procedures around the clinic. The doctor that I saw, I believe his name was Adrian was also very kind and thorough in his check up and advice. Thank you both so much. 🙏
