Sydney Acting Studios' Camera Technique class is an exceptional program for aspiring actors. The coaches are awesome and have current industry experience and they provide generous and constructive feedback. Whether it is the Camera Technique or Theatre class I found them both a positive and collaborative environment where learning from peers is highly encouraged. Additionally, the diverse range of scripts are challenging and I enjoy explore various genres and characters. This comprehensive and enriching class equips actors with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the industry. Highly recommended for anyone serious about advancing their acting career.

Sydney Acting Studio is fantastic. It's super conveniently located and accessible with a strong range of classes giving you a lot of flexibility as an actor. However the best part about it are the teachers and the other students. The teachers are all established professionals in the industry, the majority having graduated (or worked at) the likes of NIDA, or WAAPA; and are continually working across theatre and screen in Australia. So being able to learn from them is an awesome sort of opportunity that would be hard to find consistently anywhere else.

The other students who are regulars are all serious about the training, dedicated to being the best actor they can be, which means you'll only get better by being around them. The range of classes are brilliant, and there is a strong flexibility to attend different classes, so if your personal life changes, so you don't need to worry about being locked into some sort of unmoving contract or anything.

The most important thing (I think) about being an actor is to be able to be taking classes regularly to improve your craft, and SAS is a brilliant place to start (and continue) to do that.
Experienced and incredibly dedicated educators. I personally attend and have only walked away with clear guidance on how to move forward with what’s specifically relates to me. The students are all very dedicated and supportive of one another. It’s a real industry institution with a practical approach to the industry and developing your technique. Hunter & Cat are always available. Donald Woodburn, genius. The school works like a gym. No lock in contracts. Come and go as you please. Favourite educational experience of my life.
I've attended Darlo Drama many times and they are an absolutely lovely group of people who are the best at what they do. Highly recommended!
Don’t fall for any of the “community” lies they’re spewing. This is the greediest business I have ever dealt with. Darlo Drama is everything wrong with the Arts in this country.
My son had an excellent experience participating in Youth Theatre productions run by Alicia & Actually acting. Would recommend this school for any young people looking for acting / performing experience.

We had a positive experience for two terms in boppy bugs but had a change of teacher and it’s been terrible since. They have a rigid no parents policy so to not disrupt the class. Was advised it was fine for the kids with separation anxiety to be traumatized and if they cry for more than 5 mins it’s fine then for parents to come in. Then management organises a full day of filming with a film crew. Assuming it is now fine to disrupt the class because it’s for marketing. Completely inconsistent in how they implement policy and mixed messaging to parents.

We were offered a full refund by management initially because we did not agree with their policy but then the receptionist won’t give it when we requested for it and then hung up on us. We will not be returning and have found other programs which are more flexible and family friendly.
Well. I loved the experience, I felt very excited and comfortable there and while the scripts didn’t feel up to date with today’s humour or anything, it was still a pretty good experience. Now, I got a lot of compliments on my acting during my classes and I tried getting into the intensive acting course, they ended up choosing every other person who applied other than me, and yeah, it might not be personal, but I feel like I was one of the best beginner actors with a lot of potential and I had a friend who didn’t know his lines before the day and got into the course, though I didn’t, I question whether it was because of my nationality since i’m quite obviously asian. looking back it feels so unfair and I had so much motive to get into acting at that stage but they completely changed all of that for me. just seems to racist..
Both my daughters have attended different classes throughout the years.
All the instructors are fantastic and so passionate about what they do.
There is such a family feel here with no pretentiousness like many other dance schools.
Mighty good keeps kids Dance classes fun.
1st time there today.and my grand daughter loved it .the teacher were great.everyone was really pleasant and we are now going to join and become a part of there talent school.
Darlo Drama offer a broad range of acting courses right from beginner to advanced level, with very highly respected and experienced teaching staff, all conducted in a fun, safe and supportive environment. Whether you want to start a career in acting, try acting as a hobby or simply gain confidence in performance and presentation, you will find a pathway that is right for you and make some fantastic friends along the way.
I came to Darlo Drama, and the acting course, after the trial class. It was only $25, so I figured I'd try it to boost my confidence a little. The taster was enticing enough to try the full level one course. What I got was not only an exponential increase in confidence, but also a great circle of friends with similar interests, an amazingly smooth learning curve during the course and a wonderful performance to top it off, along with a great celebration at the end. Really enjoyable course; great teacher and venue. I loved every second of it. It didn't feel like learning at all! And by the end I had improved so much just through play. Thank you Darlo Drama!
Very good dancing school ..its the west best kept secret
Highly recommend SAS - Hunter is highly communicative and runs a brilliant studio which offers a broad variety of classes and teachers. The classes are well structured and facilitate a safe, supportive and fun environment. There's great equipment and setup, and the classes I attend have a warm sense of community.

Sydney Acting Studio is a gem for aspiring and pro actors! Not only do you learn from seasoned professionals actively working in the industry, but the diverse teaching methods and styles truly enrich your craft. The vibrant community curated by Hunter is a hub of talent and inspiration, encouraging exploration and growth. A top-notch place to hone your acting skills!
Hunter goes above and beyond to run an acting studio that absolutely caters to uplifting and supporting its actors. He has created such a sense of community and passion for the craft for his students. The acting coaches like Adam Dunn and Luke Ford are world class, they provide you with all of the guidance and techniques to allow each student to grow and discover the moments in each scene you work on. Allowing you to constantly reflect on your strengths and weaknesses and feel encouraged to fully embrace whichever stage you’re at. I’m so grateful for my time at the studio and the opportunities to meet such gifted students and coaches. Hunter is so generous and genuinely wants the best for his students. I absolutely recommend this acting studio to every actor I meet.
Darlo Drama is hands down the best acting school for adults and corporate teams in Sydney! 🎭 I've taken various classes and workshops here for 7 years, and it's been an absolute blast. The teachers and community are super welcoming and make learning acting a joy - highly recommended!
My 2.5 year old had a ball at her first dance class with the fabulous Kelly. We will be joining for sure
I’ve had the best experience with Sydney Acting Studio. There's an amazing community of actors and teachers who support each other to do great work and Hunter is genuinely committed to helping students further our careers. Love coming to class every week.
For anyone who's interested in acting, new or returning, this is a great place to learn. No matter your age, there's something for you to contribute and gain out of this experience. Give it a shot!
Type Talent acting classes are super practical and fun - led by leading industry lights. You’ll learn a range of acting techniques, building your toolkit for all kinds of roles and for life! The courses are designed to bring out the best in you and you’ll be part of a welcoming and supportive creative community.
I'm currently doing the six month intensive at Type Talent and have already learnt heaps! There's so much information packed into the courses, but you have to be attentive and ask questions to get the most out of it. There's a good balance of practical and theory with the instructors. 👍
A very fun and safe environment to explore acting or production. They offer night classes regularly for those who want to try acting but have other life commitments- a game changer 🙏🏾

Alicia taught Speech and Drama
to my daughter for many years - she is amazing! Warm, inclusive, empathetic and brilliant at her trade and teaching it. I highly recommend her and Actually Acting. They learn lifelong skills and have so much fun doing it!
Very professional performances, and enjoyable classes. My daughter did weekly classes and learnt a lot. She also did a school holiday production, and had a very positive experience.

My kids have been in actual acting for 5 years. They really enjoyed it. The teacher is very nice and interesting, they learn when they have fun. Once every year they have the chance to perform on the stage. It helped to improve my kids’ speech and also build up their confidence. Highly recommended.

One of the best workshop of performing arts for young talents in Adelaide. My daughter loves it and we keep coming back every possible holiday. It is challenging, fun, professional and full filling.
Strong recommendation for parents who have kids that love acting.

My daughter attended last years classes through school and had a great time, gave her an opportunity to focus on the craft of performance.
Enjoyed practicing to anyone that would watch.
Was very rewarding getting to go to the showcase at the end of the year to see what she and others learnt.
She is attending weekly classes again this year.
Took my 2 y/o daughter for a trial class, Miss Kelly was warm and welcoming. She had great ideas to get the kids to participate and get out of their comfort zones. Highly recommend it!
My boys have a fantastic learning experience in a Theatre environment. It's great they can continue through as they grow.

My son loves working with Alicia at Actually Acting and the range of guest presenters is great. The quality of the final productions is always excellent and the fact that we have to block out Actually Acting holiday workshops a year in advance tells you just how much he enjoys the experience. Highly recommended for any children who want solid theatre experience (and lots of lines!).
I’m so glad to have discovered Darlo Drama. I absolutely love the community aspect of it and you’ll definitely make life-long friends! With so much on offer I am always looking forward to the next class or event! I highly recommend it to both experienced actors and anyone wanting to give it a go. I’m a constantly learning something new / deepening my craft.
What an amazing place! I recently completed the Level 2 course at Darlo, after loving Level 1 so much. The teachers are fantastic, and so supportive of all students from all walks of life. I chose Darlo because they have been around for such a long time and have a solid reputation - but came back for the course content and brilliant teachers. Romney (the administrator who I was in contact with) answered any crazy questions I had in a timely and professional manner. Highly recommend Darlo to anyone looking to start a career in acting or if you are even just looking for a new hobby!
I came to Darlo Drama after trying a number of other Sydney acting schools and I've stayed for many years, doing numerous courses and now I love being part of the theatre community. They are unlike any other acting school in Sydney, fantastic for those just starting out or you can join their advanced courses if you've studied elsewhere. I love my Darlo family, thank you for so many wonderful opportunities, friendships made and creative inspiration!
I can not fatham how you can mandate 12 year old children to have a completely useless and dangerous trial vaccine. By doing that you are stealing their childhoods and putting their lives at risk. If a child dies or is injured just to stay at your dance school, you will have blood on your hands.
I have completed a number of the short courses now with Type Talent and enjoyed them all immensely. Whether you are looking for a career, building on your current skills, or a beginner, this is safe, supportive environment and highly recommend you take the plunge.
Two years after my last review and still feel the same. Different short courses always being added, different instructors, great to keep you fresh and engaged.
I have been a part of Type Talent for about 3 years, and have loved every minute of it. The instructors are professional and experts in their field. Whether you're looking for a bit of fun, or really want to develop as a serious actor, there's something for everyone.
I have really developed my craft, but I have also grown as a person. By stepping outside of my comfort zone, I have become more confident, and feel able to take on many different roles on stage as well as on screen.
Type Talent is a wonderful place to develop acting skills at any level, and a very welcoming and professional space. Everyone I have come across has been lovely, and the instructors each have a wealth of knowledge to share. I highly recommend trying a class here if you’ve ever been interested in trying acting!
Most talent schools only have one or two types of classes. Some have singing and dance, others just dance, or just singing, others just teach acting. Mighty Good Talent School teaches singing, acting, Tap dancing, classical ballet and jazz ballet.
My children have been attending for a couple of years and take all of the classes. Performance classes have been wonderful for their confidence, plus fitness and coordination. Not all kids play sport, and dance is a wonderful way for non-sporty children to be fit.
Mighty Good Talent School doesn't take part in competitions. It is about learning and honing performance abilities, rather than judging whose mummy can afford the better costume. The children become a performing troupe, forming strong, lasting friendships. That's what I love most about it, that my children aren't just learning and being fit, they're developing bonds with like-minded kids.
Classes are available for tiny tots, right up to adult classes.

My Daughter has been attending Theatre Bugs for the past 2 years now. She absolutely loves her Fairy Ballet class and what a fantastic way to introduce little ones to dancing.
This was the only school that allowed my two year old to wear a fairy dress every week and not have to be in full ballet outfit with hair done ect. Trying to get a two year old dressed is hard enough so letting her chose her outfit every week worked wonders for us!
The teachers are amazing and all the children have such a wonderful time every class. Can't thank Theatre Bugs enough. Wonderful dancing/acting/singing school inclusive of all ages and talents!

All 3 of my children have done Theatre Bugs over the years with my youngest currently doing Fairy Ballet! They have all had amazing experiences with dance and drama and have enjoyed it tremendously! The teachers are terrific and so talentled. Best of all it is such a wonderful, fun, caring, inclusive environment without the pressures that so many dance school place on their students. The children really do come first!

Our two year old attended Theatre Bugs classes and absolutely loved it. My partner is a Drama teacher, and she feels that the quality of teaching the children receive is particularly high. She was very pleased with the manner in which the teacher engaged with the students. We are very excited about moving to Fairy Ballet next term.

My 6 year old daughter has been attending Theatre Bugs since she was 2 and she absolutely loves it. From her weekly class to the school holiday programs on offer every holidays, my daughter has always had a wonderful experience. As a parent, I love the inclusive environment where everyone has a part and has the chance to perform. As the Director said in their mid year cabaret show today, 'every child is on their own unique journey' and Theatre Bugs support and encourage them along the way. My daughters confidence has continued to grow with every class and we look forward to watching her grow and learn at Theatre Bugs for many more years to come.

My son loved his 1st "come and try" session as there were lots of fun games and it was a lot of fun. Now that there is a play being learnt and performed at the end of term, the games are no more and it's just rehearsing for the play now. Which he finds quite boring. I think the concept of Theatre Bugs is abs great and for those kids who want to act and get an insight into live Theatre and acting it's great! They would love it. All admins and staff were friendly and very easy to deal with and very helpful. It's a nice local company who are very good at what they do and the performing arts service they provide for kids. Thank you to all at Theatre Bugs!

I brought my 1 year old daughter to a trial lesson at the beginning of the year and she had a wonderful time! The teacher was exceptional with the students and parents alike, and the ability to trial the lesson first was an unexpected bonus. I can see her learning a lot through this school, and look forward to watching her confidence develop and grow with them as she gets older.
