Best High ropes courses in Australia

This place offers many activities that cannot be done in one day. Treetop challenge is my favourite although it required specific height requirement and fitness to complete. And it will take up to half of the day minimum to complete all challenges. Further for the entire family, this is a nice calm and beautiful place for other activities such as dig it, crystal panning, mini golf, laser skirmish, rock pools, laser skirmish, pickleball, bird feeding, and cedar creek falls.

Absolutely loved my time there today, was hard work but did go home with some pretty cool rocks.

They have a small gem shop as well which saves a lot of the digging, however they seem to cover a lot of them in resin instead of just polishing which sadly is part of the reason I did not buy anything.

Other than that it was great and I'll be going back.

From the moment we arrived the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We did Mini Golf and dug for Thundereggs.

The steep hill up to the diging area does have loose rocks, but take your time and you will get to both levels and make great memories with your little or big people. 😀

The staff are FANTASTIC! My daughter was so frightened of the first zip line. The staff offered to go with her over to the first point. However, in the end, she was just too scared and shaking They let us skip that point and start at the purple section. My husband isn't amazing with heights either, so after two hours of encouragement and trying we called it quits. They have given us a 12 month pass to come back when we think we can tackle it. They were so understanding with everything, there was no pressure at any point. So wonderful. Thank you so much everyone!

*We had passes given to our children through adrenaline. Dealing with adrenaline was a little frustrating because they don't know enough about the zip line/ park so definitely book through the park itself. Again they are amazing.

They talked a pretty good game about their 2pm bird feeding on their website. So we drove an hour from Brisbane to check it out. Sat at the area marked '2pm Bird Feeding' at 1:50pm. As did about four other families. No-one showed up. Birds started getting annoyed. We left disappointed at 2:20pm. Great waste of two hours on a Saturday.

The staff were lovely, personable and helpful. However, the powered camp-site we were allocated (B8) was right on the dual toilet block. The toilets were less than 2 metres from our camp pad and the waft and toilet traffic was unpleasant. The camp-site also had very little shade so it was not ideal. Looking around the immediate area, there were lots of lovely shady spots. I would highly recommend checking which spot you are allocated before you arrive to avoid this disappointment. Camp-site B8 and B6 are right on the toilets and septic tank respectively.
Other than that, we really enjoyed the activities Thunderbird Park offered.

This place is amazing! Highly recommend for a weekend away or just a day trip. The zip line is wonderful for all ages, dig it is the most fun 2 hours a kid can have! I would recommend dog it for ages 3+ honestly there were teenagers and adults loving it!

Camping is great and so are the cabins.
The restaurant is a little too expensive in my opinion but there is a bar menu which we didn’t realise until later and i would recommend this over the restaurant menu. In the day there is a cafe outside and it’s okay but also too expensive for what it is.

Lovely relaxed vibe and very family friendly!

This was an absolute highlight of our trip. with so many activities available, it's a great place to visit. We did the gem fossiking, and the amount of gems we found was fantastic. We also went mining for thunder eggs, which was great fun, although a bit of hard work. We also played mini golf on what is a reasonably challenging course. We saw plenty of other activities available but ran out of time. Def call in and check this place out

Went with a small group of friends and had a fantastic time! Safety is obviously a priority and that was very comforting. Courses are quite challenging but that makes them rewarding and worth it. Only disappointed that I didn't have the physical strength or guts to do the extreme levels (but that sounds like a me problem🤣). Max handled our safety induction and was the main instructor for our session. He was extremely thorough in his explanations, friendly and respectful. Thankyou to Max and the rest of the team for making our experience run so smoothly!

Place is good fun, however they don’t limit numbers very well. I went with my daughter yesterday, and in 2.5 hours, we only managed to do the 2 entry level courses (green and purple).
The cues for each course were too long. Definitely did not feel we got our value for money for the day.

It's a great place. There was a problem when I bought tickets online. My 5-year-old child and I couldn't play. The staff was very nice in helping me solve my problem.

Absolutely love it. Been there twice and I can’t wait go a third time. If you like a fun and challenging activity i 100% recommend TreeTop. The levels range from beginner to experienced, and the games are a mixture of balancing yourself on poles and discs and stuff, zip-lining, and more. The safety level is very high. It’s kids-friendly but obviously with an adult as it can be challenging for kids. The staff are nice and helpful. There are free water stations so if you forget to bring your water bottle you’ll be fine!

If you love heights and getting close to nature, missing this would be a crime. Couldn't complete all levels as kids were trying for the first time. Team is amazingly helpful and supportive while we try and tackle our fears of reaching new heights.

We had best time at Tree top challenge.the crew there were highly talented. They kept us safe through out the challenge. My family had super fun. I would highly recommend a mosquito spray to be safe from mosquitoe bites other than this. Worth the time and money.

It was an hour from our booking that we got on a course. My youngest was not quite the height required but as the junior course wasn’t open she was allowed in the bigger course. She struggled on some sections where she needed to reach up and this impacted her enjoyment. It’s hard when you book online and then get there and things dont quite line up (like us not knowing about the junior park) but then being encouraged to use the bigger park anyway. Has all facilities but toilets are very tired and one lock not working.

The service and experience was fantastic! Our instructor was very friendly, patient and helpful teaching us how to use the harness, PPE and safety systems.
The four courses I did were great, plenty of zip line fun in between easy and fun to challenging obstacles.

After being recommended by the Mt Tambourine TreeTop Crew to challenge myself and try the Diamond Black Course at the Big Pineapple I had to oblige.
What a challenge it was! I would 100% recommend trying all the TreeTop locations, great day out with lots of exercise.

Great facility, The staff are very helpful. Also Good setups for kids' parties.

We had an amazing time at treetops Coffs. We had kids aged 8-17 and they absolutely loved it. Claire and Tom were so nice, super helpful and organised! A fabulous few hours for the family (if you don’t mind heights 😂)

Overcame challenges I never imagined I would face as a 46yr old. Once you're up in the trees it's go time! No going back! Brought the youth out in me!

We loved the difference in difficulty between the courses. I liked how you go at your own pace with your family. My daughter loved the low ropes for the under 7's.

I love Bayside rock climbing. Staff is always incredibly friendly and love to help when they can. Community there is very kind. I love coming here every week and having a great climb. Highly recommend climbing here wether it's for a birthday party, a family day activity or just because you want to! Rock climbing is now my favourite hobby and I love coming here and being greeted with smiling faces. Thank you Bayside Rock!!

Badass. So much fun. A few hairy parts on the advanced level but so worth it. The French guy there was really lazy and you could tell he was trying to deter us from going as it was later in the day but the women who worked there were great . Our 4 year old also had a blast. You will get a great work out and enjoy beautiful scenery!

To preface, this review is from the perspective of someone who climbs a lot as a hobby, and it is not from the reference point of a parent or caretaker or any other kind of customer. What I need or want will wildly differ from someone babysitting a group of kids from the sidelines and this review will not account for that point of view at all.

I've been climbing here 1-3 times per week for the past two years or so and I consider this one of the best gyms in Melbourne. The membership fees are very competitive, the staff members are so friendly, and they make killer coffees too. The route setting, particularly recently, has been excellent, and at the moment I feel like I want to jump on every climb in the gym. There's something for everyone, all the way from first-timers to people who are climbing hard grades outdoors, and plenty of everything to keep you entertained for quite a while. Depending on the day, the gym can get quite crowded, particularly after 6PM on weekdays, especially in the bouldering area. This is great for people who like company, maybe not so for people who would rather grind things out in peace.

Both the bouldering and lead climbing are great, and you won't find better roped roof climbing anywhere else in the city. The atmosphere, particularly in the bouldering area, is always exciting and welcoming. I also appreciate that there's a kilter board upstairs for the members, as not every gym has one.

The only downside to this gym is that it's only 12 meters tall which is a shame, but the routesetters have done a great job with what they've got. The roof climbs are nice and long though.

Great place to sit back have a coffee and watch the kids scale walls. They have tunnels too for kids who want to stay grounded, and a big climbing tower if they don't trust the harnesses.

The signs displaying prices say a child is up to 17 years of age and yet I was advised my 16 year old would have to pay full adult price! Staff kindly explained the sign needs changing…then whilst completing my online waiver it too consistently defined a child as up to and including 17. I guess the online waiver form needs changing for this business too.

The place isn't huge but it has everything you need except for food. Would be lovely to include a cafe so parents can sit and chill. Also there is no sitting area and limited toilets if there is a huge group. No covered rooms to have events where some places have them these days. Also it was too cold inside but you will be sweating so it's fine if you are climbing but if you are waiting then I suggest you dress up as if you are outside (if you go on a cold winter day)

Wonderful 10/10. Our kids (5, 9 and 11) all had an amazing time. The guides were incredibly supportive and helped the kids and adults alike fight their fear of heights and confidently take on the courses. I stayed on the ground but hubby joined the fun and had a great time too.

Nice climbing gym and very nice staff! I went there to boulder. The boulder area is quite decent in size and there were a lot of challenging problems. I went on a Wednesday and it got a bit crowded after 5 pm.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. They answered all of my questions with a lot of insight and good advice. Would definitely recommend and next time I'm there I'll try out the top rope section.

Such a great place for little climbers. My 4 and 6 year old have a wonderful time. They love the caves! Such a great idea. They have lots of options to climb too. Great for strength and resilience. Awesome staff and some food and drink options.
