Tonight we saw Masterclass. It was outstanding. The storyline, the interaction with the audience, all the actors were fabulous, the singing was magnificent. A must see production.

'Master Class' is a stunner. Lucia Mastrantone as that troubling flame Maria Callas will knock your operatic socks off. I think the word 'dynamo' might just do it; 'diva' might be nearer. We wait for Callas to stop prancing and preening and sing, and then...
'I'm a singer, not an actress,' simpers a terrified ingenue to Callas, and the whole audience chuckles. The cast apart from Mastrantone are clearly musicians, and we appreciate this dramatic device and truth; they are believable as advanced students, each a fine performer of their art. And we the audience double as the assembled Master Class, each quaking at the thought that Callas might choose us next to publicly flay alive.
‘Age rebuking youth’ could serve as a trite summing-up of the play. But like the best drama, the resonances of ‘Master Class’ are many and profound.
I was an Ensembler in my student days, when its ancestry as a boat-shed was still evident. The last production I saw there was 'The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds'. Always a taste of Off-Broadway in those Hayes Gordon days. 'We Bombed in New Haven', Joseph Heller's 'Catch 22' epigone. 'Goldilocks and the Four Bears.' Fine nights in-the-round.
The Ensemble has grown in girth since then. It's now part North Shore harbour-side bar ('Cards only' snarled a bald beer-pourer at my cash) and restaurant, the type with ambience, meaning a view of the water. I came for the play alone.

Bread and circuses, all that. Loved Masterclass today but would have liked to see more of the students and more music. The tenor could have had more time on stage. Why not the students singing in the encore with a recording of Maria Callas. Acting was brilliant but we went along to enjoy a little bit of operatic performance.

Always a delight to be here. The theater is very small but intimate. You really do feel a lot more connected to the actors. If you booked Row A, you're literally on the stage with them.
It is a more immersive experience than you would have if you watched the same play in a bigger, more opulent theater. The view from the bar and restaurant isn't too bad either.
Parking could be hard, but not impossible. Kirribilli is also very accessible by public transport, both by train and ferry.

Took me back to my misspent youth! Great intimate live music venue, complete with sticky floors, chatting to the band and a large bar.
Great venue for small intimate shows. Went to watch a school concert. Not my first visit will not be my last.

First time went to Metro Theatre and it didn't disappoint. Went to see Stephen Sanchez, and the quality of the sound system was amazing!! He also has a beautiful voice. Probably need toilet upgrade.

An amazing theatre in a beautiful area. Loved how the stage and seating is set out as you get a great view regardless of where you sit. About a 5 minute walk from Milsons Point train station. Restaurant and bar onsite.
This is a very intimate venue that was located close to my hotel. I walked by at several times, and was familiar with several of the art. Was able to see Allman Betts play with some great Sydney musicians. Great concert venue, standing only.
Ever thought you'd like to be on stage? Well this is a small intimate theatre where there are no bad seats. If you book row A, you'll find yourself literally on the stage. Getting to door number 2 can be a tight squeeze and again adding to the intimacy, you may just get a little too close with some. The bar prices are reasonable, and the pre-show drinks come with a lovely view. If you're not seeing a show here, you're missing out.

Amazing venue and staff. Had the pleasure of working an event there. Smoothly run team that look after patrons so well. Accessibility was also best from any venue I've worked. Security are polite and respectful. Management look after their team. Venue was clean and well run. Great job

My son had his engagement party at 1910 . Wow the staff were so lovely. The food which was finger food which keep on coming and was tasty. The children played in the pool while the adults chatted . Everyone had a great afternoon party and I really recommend this venue tucked away private and fun
It is a unique place with modernity and serenity juxtaposed. It is a long walk for elderly people. Circular Quay metro can take us right to this place.

Watched a really great play called "Alone It Stands". Really light- hearted, funny and truly entertaining. Is a fantastic place to watch live theatre as all seats are really close with no sight line issues. It featured only a cast of six who take on 62 roles including players, wives, fans, the coach and even the team dog. Very enjoyable.
Staff were so rude. No customer service at all. Pay peanuts hire monkeys? The Venue is great and the show was amazing- however they need new staff pronto. We got better service at one of the divey nightclubs up the road 🤣 oh and We even got told to be quiet through the show…..it was a drag burlesque show!!!!! I spoke to the girl who was in the show and said we got told to be quiet and even she was gobsmacked and said no way, make as much noise as possible 🫠 such a shame because I was really looking forward to going here for my birthday but definitely will never be returning.

If you want to go on a tour inside the Opera House, buy tickets online to select the day and time available, and then arrive to the Welcome Center, which is located underground on the left side 15 min ahead of your time.

Came here for an event. Really good.
Magnificent building. Lots of stairs but walkable. 1 hour tour and learn alot. Scenic photos of the Criuse Ship and The Bridge. Great shop when you depart to buy souvenirs where you can catch taxis.
Intimate experience for audience being close to the stage. Short 10 minute walk from Central train station. Suggest booking as sessions get sold out.
The place is spectacular. The building itself is a picture of amazing architecture from the outside. It sit on the shore of the Sidney Harbour with the famous Harbour bridge in its shadow. The jewel of this experience was being able to actually listen to a performance inside. This is once in a lifetime opportunity that is worth every effort of a long flight and overcoming jet lag.
Have seen a few plays here and they’ve all been really well-produced with incredible actors. I love the versatility of the stage for different productions. All the staff are also very friendly!
Beautiful setting on Sydney harbour. Fabulous views from the bar. Comfortable seating with great view of the stage. Just a short walk from the restaurants and cafes of kiribilli. Really interesting choice of plays for 2024, too hard to choose.
Went to see a concert there (Aterciopelados). The space is really awesome as it's divided in long balconies so everyone can see pretty well the scene. Drinks were affordable and staff was quite chill. Security/staff let us in with food (cheesecake from Tetsu) on the promise we put it in consignment in their fridges (paid $5 for it). I appreciate they trusted us to do that and didn't follow us and all.

Spectacular theatre where we saw Beauty and the Beast. The theatre itself was well maintained with meticulous detail to enhance the experience of the show and to transport you into the magical world of the show you're seeing. We were at the top level in a booth and felt like royalty! The seats themselves were a little lumpy however this was a minor complaint. Most seats would have a decent view and the special effects were breathtaking. Close to Central station and the Haymarket area. Can't wait for the next show 🎥🎭😀
Beautiful building. We took the basic tour. Some of the aspects were gimmicky, but gave you an opportunity to visit the main concert hall and other areas. Check out the free Sydney museum first which has a section about the Opera House. Tickets had a large weight time which is why we saw the museum prior.
Coolest venue in the city! Been a couple of times for the Burlesque Saturday nights, and loved it both times. Great roof top views, an intimate seating area around a small swimming pool, lots of attention to small details, exceptional table service, great cocktails, including pacers and mocktails. We definitely plan on making it a regular haunt!
This was my first trip to Sydney, and the Opera House is majestic. It's so much better in real life than any picture you will ever see. We did a guided tour and went back the next day to watch a show. We loved both of these and highly recommend that everyone should definitely take the time to go for the tour and check out a show.
Went to see M.rife, the venue is really nice. It was well managed and we had little to no wait time at the entrance. Got our drinks quickly and were promptly seated.
Just saw Tiddas yesterday. We have not been able to stop talking about it. It was brilliant. Brilliantly written. Brilliantly performed. Brilliantly directed. So glad we got to see this wonderful show. Please pass on our comments to the cast as they were amazing.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner in the cafe next door before attending a fine rendition of many Bee Gees greats. The venue is old worldly classy and fitting for theatrical shows.
Beautiful Theater! Stalls are head height with the stage, so worth sitting back a little from the front row for best viewing. Seats are comfortable and audio is great.

Best New year destination because of various reasons. It's summer and the weather is perfect. The crowd are amazing. No crime in the city and it's kept very clean. The fireworks from cruise is just spectacular. Travel may get a little tricky.
Always a fun night at nineteen ten, great resident dancers. The speciality shows are always amazing with talented performers. The cocktail menu is always changing and they're always a hit. Inclusive entertainment where you can come as you are and have an awesome night. My absolute favourite venue in Adelaide for after dark fun 😍
I came here a short while ago to watch Into the Woods, an entertaining play performed by skilled actors. The facilities and architecture of Belvoir St Theatre are commendable, while the staff are kind and welcoming. My overall experience here was amazing and I was immensely impressed by the performance of Into the Woods. Went on a fascinating tour of the State Theatre today....so much history and information! It's 100 years old in 2029. Was so interesting to see behind the scenes and hear about it's construction plus info about other theatres in Sydney 🎭

Amazing amazing amazing!! The service here is great, the atmosphere is great, and so are the musicals that show here!! I’ve been here to watch musicals like 2 times? And I always love my experience. Highly recommend!

Ordering & paying for my ticket was a breeze... I went to pick up my ticket prior to the night and I was given all necessary information.
My seat was purchased relatively late, so I was dreading where I would end up. However, I had a clear view of Kevin, even though I was sitting quite high up. The sound was very clear...
Difficult to get a drink during the interval as there was a long queue...
Other than that, nothing to remark.

1st time there today.and my grand daughter loved it .the teacher were great.everyone was really pleasant and we are now going to join and become a part of there talent school.

This is a gorgeous old romantic theatre with old world charm, but with new plush seats and great sound. The staff were all lovely, friendly and very helpful. I love this theatre.
This discreet theatre shows classy and highly entertaining shows which I enjoyed every minute of. Recently I watched Miss Peony and the energy of the whole play was electrifying. I loved it and I definitely want to watch more from here.
Fabulous venue for concerts and staged performances. Generously restored by benefactors and now owned by Wenona School. Excellent acoustics do not require amplification. Professional lighting rigged. Good facilities for serving afternoon teas. We enjoyed a tightly choreographed "Barber of Seville" presented by Pacific Opera, a starting point for Australia's next opera stars. And street parking was readily available, with public bus services to North Sydney Station and CBD, right outside the front door.

Amazing venue. Sensational talent. Unspeakably well crafted cocktails. Totally worth the cover charge for entertainment. Definitely a place to dress up for and take a group of friends.
My 2.5 year old had a ball at her first dance class with the fabulous Kelly. We will be joining for sure

Went here for Decadence & Debauchery as part of the fringe. Loved the French, European feel - get cosy with your neighbours - super loved the show - 100 points for atmosphere but you've gotta mix'n mingle with others seated nearby to be part of it and make the most of it. Take a seat at a table, but someone is sure to sit next to you. Treated ourselves to a bottle of prosecco - lovely. They will bring it out to your table - very chic! Love, love, loved it here. Brings back memories of London and Soho. And the show was amazing and super fun - girls proud of themselves no matter what their shape, nationality or firm. Super uplifting 💕
Held sydney eisteddfod performance there last year. Great atmosphere and great staff who have been very supportive and helpful. Hope we can use it this year. And hope to attend a performance or concert. 💯.
Took my 2 y/o daughter for a trial class, Miss Kelly was warm and welcoming. She had great ideas to get the kids to participate and get out of their comfort zones. Highly recommend it!

A lovely and intimate theatre as part of AMPA - Academy of Music and Performing Arts. Easy wheelchair access via ramps and close to public transport at Central railway.
This is a beautiful auditorium with the best lighting & sound equipment operated by true professionals. It's a pleasure working with them when I video record a conference here.
I can not fatham how you can mandate 12 year old children to have a completely useless and dangerous trial vaccine. By doing that you are stealing their childhoods and putting their lives at risk. If a child dies or is injured just to stay at your dance school, you will have blood on your hands.
Intimate local theatre with some outstanding undervalued talent. Went for the short + sweet shows and every act was excellent.
Nice theatre, but my wife and I were quite perturbed by their Covid19 safety plan or lack there of, which had the theatre audience packed in like sardines. Not to mention the foyer of the theatre at intermission and after the play, everyone was shoulder to shoulder.
You couldn't pick a better place to have a big conference or a small meeting and everything in between!!

Its not only great for a confrence, but also in a concert !... I attend an convert in last friday. Ot has a good lighting, sound system, and comfortable chair.
Work sent us here for an afternoon session to learn about homelessness and how common it is in today's society. We were shown people's struggles and how people can easily become homeless. We did a supermarket challenge in purchasing things on a budget for each case study. I found the experience rewarding. The conference centre was a tad bit hot if you're in there all day, they probably need to up the air-conditioner but other than that, the place is clean and comfortable.

Attended for a wonderful performance of the Pacific Opera on Mother's Day as part of the A Prelude in Tea Sunday Concert Series 2019. A wonderful afternoon tea beforehand sharing a table with two other patrons. Easy street parking, comfortable seating, wheelchair accessible, and good vision from all seats. Won two tickets from Ticket Wombat.
A once in a lifetime opportunity to perform in this wonderful space. The theater has well equipped sound system. One just wished for a better lighting board. It is manual and poses a constraint in creating a flicker effect. The snack vending machine in the green room makes the wait worth it. The green room has good lights for make up.
Most talent schools only have one or two types of classes. Some have singing and dance, others just dance, or just singing, others just teach acting. Mighty Good Talent School teaches singing, acting, Tap dancing, classical ballet and jazz ballet.
My children have been attending for a couple of years and take all of the classes. Performance classes have been wonderful for their confidence, plus fitness and coordination. Not all kids play sport, and dance is a wonderful way for non-sporty children to be fit.
Mighty Good Talent School doesn't take part in competitions. It is about learning and honing performance abilities, rather than judging whose mummy can afford the better costume. The children become a performing troupe, forming strong, lasting friendships. That's what I love most about it, that my children aren't just learning and being fit, they're developing bonds with like-minded kids.

I have been both an audience member and a performer at the Independent. As a performer in an a capella group the natural sound feedback is great. You can hear yourself very well.
As an audience member the sound is bright and crisp.
The Independent is an old theatre of medium size. All seats give a great view. I hope to be there again one day.

Old fashioned building, old fashioned service, beautifully maintained, old but well maintained and spotless toilet facilities.
Beautiful old theatre space. High roof great acoustics although it seems that sometimes microphones are needed (and they suffer from some interference when the food fair is on over the road on Sundays!!!), very comfortable red velour seats in well designed tiers. Limited space for wheelchairs and this place was just not designed for wheelchairs. ..you have to do it the hard way.

We saw Little Women starring Jessica Kelly who was superb!! Great singer, dancer, actor, music teacher, musician!!
Oh, and parking is excellent at night on weekends - you can park right opposite if you grt there early! Easy free parking - not like every other theatre in Sydney!!

This theatre reminds me of a beautiful and stately old lady. As you walk into this Art Deco style building, originally used as a cable tram cable winding station, you are enveloped by history. It is intimate and cosy and not at all stuffy. The theatre seats 303, including the balcony. We have been a number of times, for, amongst others, The Idea Of North, Jenny Ericsson's The Marais Project and an excellent talk on Domestic Violence.

Having helped organise an event at the independent theater I can recommend it. It's a beautiful theater and the theater manager and the owners (wenona school) are easy to work with. The theater seats about 300 people and the addition of a conference room is handy. I've taken off one star as there's a high likelihood of it being haunted.
