This is a great place to see and watch koalas for free. You can take a walk in the forest and if you are lucky and careful, you can also see kangaroos! They hide in the grass ☺️
Great experience. Free entry. If you want to see Koalas move, get there at 1.30pm, which is their feed time. Great presenter share information about Koala. Went home and learned something new.
I enjoyed visiting this place. Small and nicely set up. Watched a few fascinating short documentaries. I learned a lot about the Koala life cycle!

LPD Tutoring assisted my child with their senior high school English through an individual learning program that was tailored to their specific needs. This was instrumental in enabling them to successfully complete their High School English studies.
The koalas are hard to find in the trees, but the jungle is beautiful. If you have kids, take them to see the koalas first. They will love it and then you can take them for a walk, encouraging them to find any koalas sleeping or moving in the trees. The place provides lots of information about the koalas. I have visited this place multiple times and have never been disappointed.
It's a beautiful nature centre for koalas, we had a great day, specially the guy with huge amount of information with detailed. It has a big area including walking trails, plenty of car park, picnic area. Great and amazing
Easy 30 minute walk from the station, up main road, turn right, past the markets and it's just after the equestrian centre. Volunteer staff all very helpful and friendly, a lot to see which filled our time from 10.00 a m to 3.00 p.m. including a very well presented burger, salad and fries (made a welcome change they weren't heavily over salted as we've often found elsewhere) and after the decent walk round all the exhibits, it was nice to be offered a free shuttle bus ride back to the station. Very impressed with the day.
A wonderful and well attended market with such a variety of stall holders. Wonderful fresh produce and handmade artisan items as well as some tasty foods!
According to the website I was lead to believe this venue was very wheelchair friendly. I didnt agree. I found a lot of the paths were very uneven so making it difficult for wheelchairs to be pushed smoothly into the buildings. Twice Ì nearly catapulted out of my chair! So quite dangerous I felt.

My 2 primary school-aged grandchildren have benefited greatly from attending LPD Tutoring over the past 12 months. Both my grandson and granddaughter were struggling with reading and Math. However, as a result of the weekly lessons from the tutors, they have improved with their grades and overall attitude towards learning.

Good information on the Chinese culture. Probably will take 30 mins to go through everything. Friendly receptionist, just buy tickets when you get there.

The Museum of Chinese Australian History is a great educational place to learn about Chinese Australian history. There is an interesting exhibition that will teach you about Chinese migration to Australia during the times of the Gold Rush. Throughout the museum, there are some fascinating and interesting pieces of art and overall, the museum is a great place to visit and learn about the history of Chinese Australian people and culture.
We came from behind chinatown so it was through a very sketchy looking alleyway. Luckily, the only time we stumbled was into this beaut of a museum. Spent a good amount of time looking at all the pieces exhibited.
Lady at the front desk was super lovely and helpful. She even helped me spend over $100 in the little gift shop! I wonder how that even happened. Would gladly spend there again (just the entry fee and my time though).

We visited during the annual halloween event held at Caboolture Historical Village this year. Halloween is always a magical time of year; giving adults and kids an excuse to dress up, have fun and indulge our sweet tooth just a little. It was our first time attending this event, and what an experience we had. The village gave a nice balance of fright while also being family friendly. Be prepared to hear many screams as you explore the night. The halloween decorations showcased were beautifully integrated with the historical buildings, and curated items can be enjoyed throughout the village. The mandatory jumpscare was on the table for the night. Volunteers included ghosts and ghouls in the hospital, witches that gave us a wonderfully 'horrifying' welcome as well as a caged prisoner. The details were well thought throughout the event. You could also find a chainsaw madman chasing people through the village. There were statues that came alive. We enjoyed the miniature train ride, which also included murderous gunmen firing away from the minature forest. This gave us a good jump. Next halloween, I would recommend adding Caboolture Historical Village on your list for a fun family fright night.
Learn about the Amazing discovery of chinese gold rush in the 1850's. This museum displays a reproduction of the life at gold rush period's and how it was at that time.※The first Chinese arrived in 1830's (free settler and under contract as labourers) But in 1850's gold Nagget discoveries changed everything.
This village was worth the drive from Ipswich QLD. Go and see how your forebears lived and worked. Many of the buildings are original and some have been restored. Others have been reproduced, if taking little ones check the times of the train(I was disappointed)
We have brought the kids here many times . This place has a rustic Aussie feel rather than a clinical reptile centre and has been great to bring our son and his friends to see the reptiles and explore outside . The reptile handler is a big reason why we have come back , because he is so good at presenting the snakes and bobtails and is so informative. We have had a good experience every time .

Note - they have more crocodiles than Perth Zoo and there's a wonderful bush trail to see the wildflowers. The sign is not very very well marked but the trail is defintiely worth it.

What a sad place this was to visit :( I’m shocked this place is still legally open. I have made numerous formal complaints after my visit to try and be a voice for the poor state these living things are being kept in. The reptiles had no water or food, their water bowls were bone dry! Their enclosures had nothing but newspapers and some old wood (if that) where is the greenery? The birds were all very sad, the ones at the front were lucky to have a bit of seed and water, no toys or even branches to sit on. Some of the bits outside were clearly distressed and flying back and forth, they had no greenery or fresh water. The wombat enclosure had a sign that looked 10 years old saying under construction, why was the wombat left in there? Again no greenery or fresh water. The place is so run down with piles of old rubbish just laying around the grounds, my children we’re constantly asking where to walk because the animal enclosures are weaved in with unkept gardens and half fenced off areas with piles of old metal/cars/rubbish. The animals all looked so sad and depressed. This place isn’t spending money on caring for the creatures they choose to enclose and make money from. So sad DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
Impulsively decided to visit the reptile farm with my family on the way back to Subiaco at around 4pm and had the most lovely time! Gane brought us around the park and introduced us to the snakes and went into detail about all the snakes and his experiences with them. It was a rather intimate experience with the lack of crowd as it was close to the closing time, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thank you Gain and Jane for the lovely accommodation, we will definitely be back to visit when we return to Perth!
An ideal place for all ages. Very educational, interactive and overall extremely enjoyable. Definitely recommended for tourists and residents alike in Melbourne.
Well worth the $12.50 entry fee. Staff are friendly and very informative. Great displays. Spent a couple of hours here looking around before heading to a show at the Comedy Theatre
Loved sharing in the last day of the historical site, it was great to see the turn out today and thanks for all the volunteers and members that hung around to chat with us all about the history of the place.
New Year's Day Market was awesome, on every Saturday in January. One Chilli stall was wonderful. 🌶️🌶️🌶️
I can’t recommend enough this museum for a visit . Not only can you learn about Chinese and Australian Chinese history, view some pretty amazing artifacts, experience a boat trip that was undertaken by people in their quest to find gold and become rich, you will also be greeted by the most friendly staff members. I totally loved my experience today and will definitely explore further Chinese history and culture.
One of the best places I’ve been too I needed way more than 90mins coming back for a second visit soon. This time starting in the morning so if I take all day brilliant. Well worth the trip and please take your time there to really enjoy the moment. So much to see and explore it’s like a whole town plus some more.

Amazing i love it! I couldn't believe how many snakes they had. An amazing experience definitely worth visiting. The guy who does the holding shows with the snakes & lizards is brilliant so insightful and has lots of knowledge behind him. Great way to learn about local snakes and lizards and also afew extra bonus animals.
Such a great place! We had such a fantastic experience and loved everything. Such lovely, friendly staff that have lots of knowledge about the reptiles. We got to hold a lizard and snake and learnt alot about them. Will definitely be recommending to friends and will be back soon.

An atmospheric mix of old houses and businesses set up as they would have been and buildings housing vehicles and tools of yesteryear. Everything is really clean and in good condition. The fountain and planting are really lovely too. There are two cafes but both were closed when we got there at 1 pm on Sunday and the train wasn't going either, I think we were the only people there as we didn't see a soul for the three hours we were there, except the receptionist who was very nice. I suppose this just happens sometimes as it's staffed by volunteers so just remember to take some snacks and a drink in case. Definitely wear plenty of mosquito spray, I did and still got bitten 4 times. Big thanks to the volunteers, we learnt a lot and will remember it, it was a really good day out.
A large area full of Australian culture. Plenty of collections of historical significance such as police, farming, school, transport, technology and there is a morgue too. There is a train ride as well. It takes probably a good 3 to 4 hours to appreciate the collections.
Went late in the afternoon, didn’t expect much, the dingoes feeding time was amazing, knowledgeable presentation on the cute wild animals.
The reptiles were also very cute taking naps. Got to handle two docile snakes and some blue tongue lizards.

Loved the market filled with local produce. Bought freshly made scones and mitches four berry preserve and the lady at the lavender stand was really lovely.
Friendly, welcoming elder community. I was there for the "Yarning Place Bus" visit, for all things Knitting and crochet.
Great vibe, relaxing atmosphere. Lots of entertainment for family's including the Carnival at Railway Place.
Interesting place and great building. Good history of Australia's Chinese Melbourne community and Melbourne in general, although l would like to have seen a more comprehensive Chinese gold rush history, but not much really remains from that era l, especially migrant history. Some of the exhibits are a bit rough around the edges but overall the place is really interesting and there is some contemporary exhibition spaces about China also. Great friendly atmosphere, cool basement exhibition space and the longest Dai Loong (Chinese Dragon) in the world which comes out into the city a couple of times a year. Gift shop is good.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Clean tidy with room set up and ready. Flexible use for a variety of people. Privacy was good but visual into private areas difficult to close off.
