The staff were very understanding of my needs .I appreciate them so much for the help they have given me out of the goodness of these great peoples hearts .these people genuinely care about others and that means alot. they take the time to help people in our community.they also helped me with a phone number and gave me some good advice at the time I didn't know what to do or how to go about it.understanding staff who have afew requirements for an appointment such as income statement and one month bank statement.they do the appropriate checks and follow the guidelines.the staff are compassionate and caring people who understand people and what there needs are . thankyou so much Samaritans

I was so so nervous to ask for help and worried how much I would be judged as well as some one with multiple food allergies BUT the person who talked to me for paperwork was so sweet, kind, helpful and understood, the 2 lovely women I had an appointment with were the same and no judgemental words at all, and they actually gave me some amazingly helpful advice. Thanks to their kindness and help I am able to have food for me and my dog to eat. Thank you thank you Samaritans Broadmeadow.

Incredibly friendly staff, with incredibly low prices even for an op shop, I got a cute coat for only $1! I would definitely recommend checking this one out when you're in Hamilton, there are so many good clothes that cost no more than spare change

My 18th month old does lessons here and he loves it so much. The teachers are lovely and the classes are inclusive and fun. Highly recommend!

Excellent school focused on perfecting technique with the opportunity to swim in their Friday Night Races for practice with distance. My kids have been in since 6 months old and are now placing with confidence in their school swim carnivals. Cannot recommend this school and their staff enough.

I have 7 months old and 3,5 years old, both love swimming lessons and have been enjoying them since they were 4 months old. Swimming lessons are amazing for babies, not only for physical health but also for mental development. Teachers are true professionals, very patient and bubbly. Bella loves lessons with Giovanni:) and Judy is the legend, I couldn’t imagine babies lessons without her:)

We’ve had our kids coming to Billabong for years. A great family atmosphere where everyone is welcome and swimming safety is always at the forefront of the classes.

It’s frustrating . N number of times I have seen , no matter what time of the day you call, they just don’t pick up. Even after giving a gap of an hour or so still no answer.
Rest everything is perfect but you can’t go every time to book or discuss about the matter . Wonder why even they bother having a phone .

Reasonable prices and lovely staff

Good place for multisport on Thursday, smallish, but enough for solid competitions! Parking on the street is sufficient too!

Judit is great and the swimming class they have for babies and toddler is brilliant. It helps the kids building confidence while playing and having fun.

Good when open. Currently not taking donations due to renovation and you are expected to go to the old Hunter St store and donate in the back lane.

I had a trouble experience with a Samaritans support coordinator Jordanah Bender that wouldnt help me through my Plan review and ruined my whole Plan ......Did minimal work for me and overcharged for it

Plan Management is the best option for anyone on the NDIS there's A lot of scammers that want your funding so keep everything under Plan Management so you can keep a watch where your funds go ...good luck

Great shop with lots of variety and good prices. Only today I was there 10 min before closing time and the shop was already closed. Very disappointing as I really could have used an extra set of clothes for tomorrow.

A younger woman who filled out my details sent out the most unfriendly vibes through the place, she not only took over the computer from an elderly lady whose job it was to take down my details, but she left her standing there looking very uncomfortable not knowing what to do for quite a considerable time. I felt very embarrassed and uncomfortable for her.
Also, her way of just getting my details was in a very condescending manner.
I have only recently finished a course in Community Services III, and based on what I have learnt, that woman IS definitely in the wrong job where she deals with some of the most vulnerable people in society.

The two ladies in the other room that did the assessing were quite friendly so my low score is not a reflection on them.

As for the free food in the basket, I know beggars can't be choosers, but please, if there's any food on offer, could it at least not be so out of date. I was told, (by the said younger woman), i was only allowed to get one or two food items from a basket on the floor, and the 2 cans of food I got were 8 months out of date.

Was referred to Samaritans in a time of need for some food relief mainly and other service referrals, both of which were a big help.

Their intake assessment can be intimidating and made me feel unwelcomed in the end, so I stopped going after a couple of visits and just went without to avoid this needless intimidation.

If you are a single male without kids, you will be judged.

I visited Billabong for a week long trip to observe the lessons. As my family friends, John and Judy invited me as soon as they found out I started my own private swim teaching business in Sydney. I didn't hesitate to come because they taught me how to swim and turned me into a school swimming champion at 8 years old. I only attended one lesson a week plus Friday night races.

Their operation is fantastic all the way from babies (especially babies) to mini-squads. They have a great teaching program but more importantly phenomenal teachers. They have managed to assemble a loyal staff base, most of whom have worked at Billabong for multiple years. Which is unbelievable considering the high staff turnover rates in the industry. They are knowledgeable, take pride in teaching and have a nurturing approach.

The most inexperienced baby teacher at Billabong has taught for 5 years and is a mother herself. I observed baby classes and some two year olds were already paddling for meters independently, which is vital when you consider most drownings among minors occur to children under 4. They have initiatives such as "swimmer of the month" where the receptionist comes to class with a cowbell and a certificate to publicly recognise students who are improving in either ability or confidence. They also have a public board to recognise children who have achieved ribbons at their school carnival.

The owners are passionate about teaching and also have integrity. They keep the pools well heated above 30 degrees and if a class is spoilt because the heater is broken, they offer a credit for that class. Over the winter they offer a second lesson in the same week for $9. I asked the owner John why he would offer that price because it's hardly profitable and he said 'outside of lessons, kids don't swim during the winter'. He wants to see progression and improvement in swimming during the winter, which sets up the swimmers to have safer summers.

I was really happy I came to Billabong. As someone who has taught swimming for 5 years, even I developed a couple of new insights which will help me grow my business in Sydney.

Lovely place but the gymnastics program has a really mean teacher. I had to quit last year because of the gym teacher, their daughter Michelle is great though. So sweet! It also has barely any equipment for the gymnastics. Would not recommend for kids that are frightened of mean teachers, wouldn't actually recommend in general.

Just started working out, and I already see myself coming back here for a long time. The atmosphere is very encouraging, so are the instructors.

Love the North Sydney PCYC. There are a large variety of classes at different times and it has a great atmosphere. It's not upmarket and is kind of old fashioned which makes it feel relaxed.

Great place for the kids to learn to swim. Our 2 have gone from nothing to being able to swim in a short amount of time. The teachers are great and know how to get the best out of the children to make hem succeed.

The absolute most rudest woman I have ever come across. Spoke to me like I was poo on her shoe. Stuck her finger in my face and told me to wait. However I did continue to browse as I feel the charity should not suffer due to one uptight old woman who simply cannot multitask.
